Wide variety of oriental dishes much better value than others at Yonge and St. Clair - service is great with the owner always available - decent wine list

Seven East has GREAT tasting food, however, I've noticed that since the start of this year their portion sizes have been substantially reduced. Today It looks like the amount of soup and salad you get with a combo meal has gotten even smaller. If they are trying to save money on costs, maybe use smaller packaging for the 8 strips... More

I almost don't want to write this review. What if my favourite little fusion place gets crowded and I can't just walk in anytime I choose? Oh well, the food is so sublime that the story needs to be told! I've been going there for many years now and instead of the usual routine of going from honeymoon days early... More

I love going to Seven East after my yoga class at Roots across the street. Amazingly inexpensive lunch specials. Great for dinner. Service is attentive and I don't agree with the reviewer's comment about up-selling. The waiter he is referring to is only trying to be helpful. I've seen him in action enough to know that he wants to make... More

Five of us went to Seven East, and enjoyed a very acceptable Asian meal. The fish cakes were the best part of the appetizers. I would skip the siu mei. Both the red and green curries had a good Thai flavor. The vegetables were cooked properly. The beef and black bean has lots of flavor, and the beef was not... More

This is an upscale Thai restaurant in Rosedale with a good variety of dishes on the menu. Reliable quality and good service. Comfortable seating but they do take out as well. I have never been disappointed here.

We are slowly going through the entire menu. Everything so far ( 10-12 visits ) has been delicious. Spiced right and the presentation is very nice. They have a few nice wines to accompany your meal. The place is spotlessly clean and prices are very good. One little negative thing I do find is the gentleman likes to up-sell whenever... More

This is a wonderful surprise I ate at once in a while, now pretty frequently. Special lunch menu is a terrific deal, tasty, filling, nicely presented, and for all that really inexpensive; I can eat a full lunch for like $12 plus tax. Dinner is more, of course, but equally well done. Great menu with lots of options. Service is... More

Tasty, yes, but for our health, we only eat organic chicken, meat, fish or eggs and pacific wild salmon (NEVER ATLANTIC farmed) salmon. THe shrimps werent from oregon or the gulf so we cant eat them either, they were imported from thailand which we wont eat.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
