Globe Bistro is an amazing restaurant offering a more informal wine bar experience at the front of the restaurant with a more formal setting at the back of the restaurant. Both the wine bar and restaurant section offer their own menus. We have eaten here several times and are always impressed with the food that is changed seasonally as they... More

We bought a deal from Travelzoo for a 2 courses dinner at $25.00 per person. Our previous experience led us to expect a special menu. After the server settled us to our seats, he informed us that there was no menu. The meal was planned by the chef daily without any explanation until the dish was presented to us. It... More

Jan 27,2017 - We are a group of 10-15 professionals aged 50-60 which attend your happy hour 4-6 times a year as an after work event. Maximum alcohol consumed would be two drinks a patron. Each and every time I attend we are informed we have to leave by 6 - this welcoming information generally conveyed around 5pm the restaurant... More

We went for our anniversary. The lady who seated us started by saying "we will make your dining experience wonderful", and they delivered. The food was amazing. The soup was light and flavorful. The salad was interesting and would intrigue your palate. The beef was tender paired with the right veggies of kale and lentils. The dessert was so yummy... More

Ten of us went to Globe last Thursday night. As always, the restaurant did not disappoint. The dining room itself is warm and beautiful. The service was friendly, attentive and helpful; the food, including the presentation, was outstanding; the wine and drink list is solid; and the consensus was, and always is, a great dining experience and great value. We... More

A great unassuming restaurant that not only provided locally produced seasonal foods but we indulged and had wine pairings which could not have been better. Both our servers Stacie and Ryan took the very best of care of us and were knowledgeable and engaging. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a taste of Canada.

I've been to Globe several times and each time I have come away with another great memory. Last evening I was there is my friends after their wedding. We were welcomed, treated really well and had great meals. Every person in our party of twelve had some part of their meal to rave about.

My wife and I were looking for a nice place to eat prior to attending the local theatre. We had never heard of the restaurant before attending and found it through an on-line booking service. The restaurant is a very pleasing environment and much larger looking that what it would appear from outside. The staff member at the door welcomed... More

This excellent gourmet restaurant has a very relaxing atmosphere and cuisine fit for a discerning palette. We opted for one of the taster's selections, of which there are three. It consisted of six or seven small sample courses. The price is set per couple and the bistro picks the dishes. Of course we had wine and espresso which is extra.... More

Attended Globe Bistro on Thanksgiving weekend and had their prix-fixe. The food and service were really great. They have a nice choice of wines, and the mood and atmosphere are inviting. I really liked the decor. I will visit here again for a regular dinner.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
