A good place to watch any game with great food and drinks. Good daily specials with easy parking on Yonge

Great little pub which seems to be an independent operation with its own unique character. My first visit but there were a few regulars even early on a Friday evening. Clean pub with pleasant, simple decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced beer. The Steak...Bites were great although a tad expensive at $16.00 for a small dish. Will return.More

Wasn't bad as we were there in the afternoon. The waitress was friendly and prompt ( we were in a work meeting) . She have us our space and I wish we had eaten. Neat little place.

As soon as our group of 6 entered the restaurant we smelled cleaning disinfectant. We were seated at the rear of the restaurant where the powerful smell of garbage wafted around us. We asked the host/waiter for another table and he gruffly shouted "OK, you...can come sit here". All the while, music (lunchtime) was blasting in the restaurant. We just left...never to return!More

Overpriced for pub food and terrible quality. Grilled chicken breast like rubber. Small portions for the price. One waitress for the entire pub.

I live nearby and always have a great experience at the Uptown Pub. The service is great and so is the atmosphere. But what I like most about this place is the quality of their food. Nothing ever tastes frozen or packaged. It also happens...to be home to the best steak sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. Would recommend without a doubt!More

My husband and I went there for lunch a few days ago (on a Friday) after a recommendation by a friend. The selection seemed fine, typical for a pub, I ordered a curry with rice and naan bread and my husband ordered a starter of...skewered shrimp. His was extremely tasty but my curry was awful! There was hardly any chicken in it and way too many vegetables (who has peas and carrots in a curry???!!). The rice was bland, sticky and cold. We also ordered a side order of what were supposed to be pub chips but, being from England, they were nothing of the sort, just French fries and not very good ones. I left there feeling very hungry! The service was good but there were some extremely noisy people at the bar who drowned out the TV (20 feet away) as well as any conversation we tried to had until they left. The pub was strangely dark and gloomy, yet very hot and humid (obviously no air conditioning and just a lonely fan on the corner of one wall which wasn't switched on despite it being around 22 degrees outside). All in all, very disappointed and won't be back. The only thing that makes this an 'average' rating was the waitress service.More

Today, May 10, 2017, I went for dinner with my family to the Uptown Pub House at around 7 pm. The place was dead. There was one table of four at the window near the front of the establishment and two other tables of two...persons each in the rear of the building. There was one person at the bar drinking a glass of white wine. There were nearly 20 empty tables. There were more staff in the establishment than clients. This was NOT the problem. My point is that I politely requested to watch the last game of a seven game series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals with very low volume on ONE (1) of the TV's near my table so that I could enjoy a very important hockey game and was not permitted to do so. The manager said that it would interfere with the other patrons and their dinners. This was so absurd to me since my table was at least 25-30 feet away from the only other tables in the place that had anyone seated in them. Even if the TV was put on a very high volume, I highly doubt they would have even noticed. After ordering the food and finding out that they would not accommodate my request to watch and hear the hockey game even though the establishment was only about 5% full and BEARING IN MIND THAT THIS IS SUPPOSEDLY A "SPORTS" BAR, I was very upset. Further to my disbelief, the quality of the food was terrible. The bread used for the Club Sandwich was not fresh, the Nachos seemed straight out of the bag from the supermarket and the fries were burned and straight out of the freezer. Nothing was fresh and we ended up leaving most of the food behind. The server tried her best under the circumstances and I really don't blame her, but they lost a very good patron as I eat out every single night and live in the neighborhood. I did however, leave a very good tip ($63.61) for the waitress because I felt sorry for her since she was the only server in the premise while three manager / bar tenders yucked it up behind the bar doing absolutely nothing to assist her in managing the very few tables that they had and my measly request to watch my favorite sport. Very disappointed. Oh, by the way, the washrooms were filthy dirty and had a pungent odor and in need of some serious TLC. Really bad.More

It's offers a cosy atmosphere, relatively small pub, but definitely enjoyable... Nachos and chicken wings are good with beer, but ask for french fries; crispy and tasty! Variety of beers... Service is friendly and satisfaction oriented. There is live music on Friday nights along with...regular games showings ...More

The waiter had attitude problems and was very rude to me and my wife. While making the payment, he was peeping on to the screen to see how much tip I'm paying him! Unbelievable behaviour! When I reported this to the restaurant owner (yes, the...owner, not manager), he didn't bother taking any action at all! We were hurt by their behavior and will NEVER return again, ever. Period.More
