First time at this Hungarian restaurant. Well diversified menu with many choices; prompt, efficient service; very good schnitzel; huge portions; reasonable prices. Moderate, comfortable facilities. Parking on Gerrard Street nearby (after 6 ). Plan to return.

Decided to try the Budapest Restaurant this weekend for a date night. We shared the Budapest Platter - which really was a fabulous & FILLING sample of the different types of Schnitzel, sausage, cabbage rolls, and a few sides. Thoroughly enjoyed and am looking forward...More

This little restaurant serves up some big food. The Schnitzels and Chicken Paprikas are all great, but you have to try the cabbage rolls, perhaps the best I have had. This is the real deal for Hungarian home cooked food, and although it's not 'fine...More

Between the five us we ordered the: Hunters Schnitzel; Weiner Schnitzel; Chicken Cordon Bleu, and Chicken Paprikas. We licked our plates clean! Absolutely delicious and portion sizes are very generous.

In short, it was incredibly good. The place only has about 10 tables - perhaps a bit more, but is very clean and nicely decorated. The wait staff are wonderful. There seemed to be lots of Hungarians there as that is what they were speaking. The...More

We had a taste of just about everything and it was liked by all 4 adults in our party. The pirogi appetizer could have used a bit more sausage.

With a group of 12 - we descend upon the Budapest restaruant and had excellent meals and service. For carnivores with big appetites try the Wooden Platter/Fatanyeros that includes a schnitzel/pork chop/Debreceni savage/cabbage roll combo for two. Their Weiner schnitzel is among the best in...More
