Killing time for our next flight out in the morning. After a very sketchy martini, dinner was saved by the quality of the food. The flat iron steak was seriously one of the best I’ve had. Really liked how the steaks are not over salted...like too many other places. The sides are huge!More

We had a large group of about 60. We made reservations a few days earlier, so they should have been prepared for us. The service was okay, but most of our group got their drinks (and water) and a couple of our tables didn't even...have anyone acknowledge us for a solid 20 minutes. We didn't get water or anything in that time. The food was good. The Caesar salad was very good. I had steak with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts and the food was tasty and well cooked. The cheesecake for dessert was also good. Overall, a very good meal.More

Had a business dinner with a bunch of colleagues, nice restaurant, but very big, a little dark, but very courteous and professional staff. Made a great Gin and Tonic, half decent wine list. Very professional servers, sharply dressed, and very attentive. We started with caesar...salads, some had tomato and mozzarella Caprese salad, which were HUGE, but delicious. I had Aussie rack of lamb, that was Medium-Rare and exquisite. The mashed on the side was buttery and awesome. Sautéed brussel sprouts done to perfect tenderness, and their famous mushroom risotto was ultra impressive, with the arborio just a touch soft and overdone, but still top shelf. Creme Brûlée was a bit grainy and too thick, could have used a bit more sugar in the creme. We were all impressed and happy with this place, except we were in the atrium, and it was a little cold, and no one took their jackets off, and the bathroom is near the front, and a long trek from the Atrium. Regardless, I will definitely go here next trip. So many restaurants in Mississauga are a "Miss", so finding a place that gets it right, is a welcome pick.More

Best meat dish I have ever had period! The tenderness of the lamb, cooked to requested medium rare, along with bed of root vegetables and demi-glace with perfect balance of sweet, sour, flavours and thickness; rounded-out everything to make this dish a true master piece....I frequent lots of fine food restaurants and have had many dishes. Somehow this one I can comfortably rank as the no 1 most satisfying dish served. Thanks 17 Steakhouse!More

17 Steakhouse and Bar Toronto Excellent to splurge on a special occasion, especially to try the Wagyu! 685072627 Went to 17 Steakhouse in Mississauga for the first time last week. It was a treat for my immediate family and myself.I found out about it when...reading an article in inSauga about top restaurants in Mississauga qnd in that article they said Steakhouse 17 served Wagyu beef. The outside of Steakhouse 17 is underwhelming. It is in a plaza with 5 other restaurants. But the interior was swank, sophisticated, and classy. Lots of chandeliers and a big fish tank. I thought it was a little dark, but I guess that is the aesthetic the steak houses go for. I ordered an 8 oz Snake River Farms American Wagyu flat iron cut. It’s not the real Japanese A5 Kobe Wagyu, but the real, REAL thing would be $30/ounce. Considering the hype and price, I was worried I would be disappointed. I was not! I now have a new standard to compare all steaks. The outside was slightly charred and crispy, but the inside was unbelievably tender and juicy. The contrast of textures was a delight to the senses. Someone at my table ordered a USDA prime tenderloin and I had a bite to compare. That tenderloin was supposed to be tender from marbling. But, comparing directly to the Wagyu, it seemed chewy and dry. I’m glad I could compare equal cooking at the same restaurant with different grades of meat to get a fair comparison. Like Ruth’s Chris and other steakhouses, the sides are separate. The portions at Steakhouse 17 are quite generous, enough for 2-3 people. We ordered the mushroom risotto and fingerling potatoes in duck fat. The risotto was quite good, with different textures and just enough creaminess. The potatoes were decadent... I mean... cooked in duck fat... *drool* Overall, I was quite impressed with Steakhouse 17 and will likely come back to celebrate future very special occasions.More

out of the city noises, I find this great place to have early dinner the food was great and when the lobster leg wasn't eatable I find out that they don't want me to pay for the dinner. great service, good food

I went with my boyfriend of 4 years for our anniversary. we had Lorn as a server.He was so educated, funny and really made us feel comfortable. The food was delicious, everything was made perfect. At the end of the dinner he gave free dessert...with a sparkler and the musician sang us a song. Thank you guys so much for making this day so special.More

We were hosting a group of 6 here for a business dinner on a Tuesday night. With no recommendations, we were somewhat concerned when we drove up to a strip mall. Despite the elegant entrance, it was after all, a strip mall. Once inside, our...perception immediately changed. All décor was elegant and the quiet atmosphere we were looking for. Washrooms, bar, private rooms, etc are all very well done in modern décor. We were pleasantly surprised when management arranged us in a lovely private room for 6. On top of that, they accommodated for a projector so that we could have dinner during a presentation. Food, cocktails and wine were all excellent. Service top-rate. Larger private meeting rooms for up to 40 may be accommodated. There are few high-end steakhouses in Mississauga. Make this your number one destination for classy dining.More
