Three of us had a wonderful meal.
I had the Curry Scallops and my son had the shrimp, which were both excellent. My husband had the short ribs were very good, but a little fatty.
Had the brussell sprouts with red cabbage and sesame seeds which were outstanding.
Accessible restaurant with main floor washroom (not a dilapidated staircase to descend)! The white and red wines were also well worth tasting.
Staff was pleasant, noise level was reasonable, food arrived quickly, and we didn't feel
rushed. No coffee though, only teas. Will definitely return, pleasant experience, overall.

It was a dark and stormy night.....well, not really, but it was somewhat chilly, and we didn't want to walk too far for some dinner!
A quick search and up comes a highly rated Indian restaurant by the name of....Rickshaw Bar!
We conveniently booked on Open Table and off we went. The location was accurate on the map software, and the external sign was easy to spot. Upon entry, we were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated right away. Since time was of the essence, this was greatly appreciated.
Once seated, we had a few moments to enjoy our surroundings. The first thing that caught my eye were the very cool light fixtures attached to copper piping hanging from the ceiling. Combined with edison style bulbs, the look was very clean.
Second was the play of lighting upon the bare natural brick wall. The lights appeared to be perfectly positioned to allow for illumination all the way to the ceiling and a very even illumination across the wall surface itself.
Noise levels were not disturbing at all, even though the restaurant was mostly full at the time of our visit.
The Food. There isn't a lot to say here. It was fast, hot, delicious. It was perfect. I recommend getting a few naan to complement your rice and main dish.
This was a quick visit, with only a few items between the two of us. We will be back, and are looking forward to taking a longer ride at Rickshaw.

I dined here with 4 friends based on their recommendation and was not disappointed. We had the Chef's Table for $49/person and described our dietary requirements (2 pescatarians, 1 non-red meat eater, 2 anything) and were catered for easily.
Three appetisers started us off (roasted brussel sprouts, pitas breads with dip and a chicken dish) delivering amazing combinations of herbs, spices and flavours I'd never had before. I've never been big on brussel sprouts but would definitely have these again. And the quantities were more than I'd usually expect for just appetisers.
Main dishes were a whole fish, squid, salad, shrimp curry, chicken and scallops (with some rice). Again, all were marinated in delicious sauces blending various Asian flavours to die for.
After stuffing ourselves silly and expanding our waistlines by several centimetres, the waitress announced dessert was on the way! It was a gelato-like infusion with rose water and a heavenly scent. I sacrificed myself for the group who couldn't eat more than a few spoonfuls.
Staff were very attentive and friendly, filling water glasses regularly and describing all dishes as they arrived.
Overall excellent value for money (an amazing number of dishes and amount of food for the price) and a new favourite for me!

Went here recently with my husband and daughter and had such a delicious dinner, we've already been back. The Brussels Sprouts are to die for. The fried chicken is incredible. The menu is meant to encourage sharing - and I highly recommend you do to give you the chance to sample more dishes. The owners were soo sweet - they introduced themselves and even sent over a few things they wanted us to try. Cocktails are great - and be sure to try one of their non-alcoholic cocktails as well. So tart and delicious.
A really cozy little gem on Queen West that would be great for a date, a night out with friends, or a family dinner. Enjoy!

So happy we discovered this place. Really cool decor, exceptional service, and probably some of the best food we’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend the beef and shrimp curries. Not particularly cheap but 100% worth every penny for the quality of food.

Ordered the chef's tasting menu. We only had 1 hour for our meal as we had to leave for a show. The service was incredibly prompt. Had an amazing waiter. Food was to die for. Fantastic mix of meat and veggie dishes. Flavours were out of this world. So delicious.

I was taken here on Friday as a birthday dinner gift - and wow. Absolutely wow. The food was incredible. I wish I had taken pictures of the items eaten but I was too busy eating to be quite honest.
The staff is really nice and the scent of the restaurant alone will have you in love. Definitely make sure to have their delicious panna cotta as the dessert!

What a gem! This place is top notch on service, style and taste! The minute we walked in we were taken aback by the amazing aroma. Service was friendly and they didn’t rush us out. We ordered many of the recommendations and nothing disappointed. I’d have to say this was likely one of the best meals I’ve had in a long, long while. So flavourful! Thanks to the staff and amazing chef! She killed it!!

What an amazing meal. We went for the tasting menu - and every single item was BANANAS. The crunchy salad - amazing. The fish - awesome. The beef - ridiculous. The deep fried chicken - my fave. All with just the right amount of heat - never overpowering.
And the staff is attentive and very friendly - and look like they like what they’re doing!
Highly recommend. I’ll be back.

The food here is delicious beyond compare! Carefully crafted dishes with the freshest ingredients and most careful attention to detail. We ordered a lot of food to begin with and ended up ordering seconds. Highly recommend the lamb, beef taco and fish of the day - everything comes with the most delicious assortments. Truly one of Toronto’s best.

Fantastic Asian fusion though even that doesn’t do the food justice. The chef’s menu is the best deal in town, a multi course extravaganza that changes every night. On special occasions like Valentine’s Day it comes with wine pairings as well. Excellent cocktail menu. The room with open kitchen is simple with a clean design. If crowded the noise can get lively. Ask about the dress displayed on the wall.

Wife and I walked up and grabbed some food to go. We got the mutton which was served like a little Indian taco. We also had a the beef curry with potatoes. Both were very good with just the right spice level.

Nine of us descended on this delightful little bar/restaurant last Sunday, and what an evening we had. Exceptional food and exceptional service. Each and every dish was a delight, and I can't praise the chef Noureen and her team highly enough for this outstanding cuisine.
