Good restaurant. Waiters very pleasant and available. We had chicken jalfrezi, tikka masala ( mild and medium), nan and garlic nan. Pilau rice. Some poppadoms were serve with sauces at the start of the meal. Good portion and not expensive considering the location. Washroom to...be improved.More

Went there for lunch. Buffett option only. Clean restaurant, average service, and poor food quality. There are better Indian food options in the neighborhood.

Have been to this place many times before the pandemic and I always get confused with another Indian on the same block and both have stairs to take. This place I like better. Tried their tandoor chicken and lamb chops as appys. Delicious. Lamb Vindaloo,...tikka masala, spinnach rice naan were all delecious.More

Before attending a theatre performance on Friday, we decided to try out this restaurant. Very glad we did as the food was outstanding and the service was very professional. And the location is perfect for those attending the theatres in the neighborhood.

Lamb and chicken entrees were great. Our waiter was very helpful and made good recommendations on what bread and rice to pair with our entrées.

This was my first "in the city" dining experience in a long, long time. Covid knocked the socks off "in" dining for me for two and a half years. I and friends were off to see a Mirvish production and decided to do dinner before...the show like the old days! We got to Aroma climbed the stairs, a tad creepy, and walked into a very plain room with tables and chairs and at first appearance I thought OMG I made a mistake picking this place. Let me tell you I did not!! Proved the old adage of don't judge a book by its' cover! As we were a group of 6 we all picked something different. Two plates of assorted appetizers, nice presented, were inhaled by us. Chicken, butter and korma, lamb, goat, stew like dishes, all appeared at the table as main courses along with rice, Naan and vegetable burani, on various small platters and little copper pots - hot and waiting to be enjoyed! Flavorful, not to spicy, delicious - it was fabulous, absolutely fabulous, and it appeared to be so much but actually was just the right amount. To be clear spicy is a choice and is available but we had some slightly spicy and some not so spicy! Everyone dug in and enjoyed. I am happy to say it was an excellent dinner for us all as a first dinner out after a couple of years of not going out and into a restaurant for dinner. This was the beginning of a wonderful evening with friends!More

This was the 2nd Indian restaurant we went to in quest of finding the best Indian food. We were pleasantly surprised and happy. It is a small restaurant especially with covid, I guess they cannot fill up the dining room. The garlic naan was superb,...the dishes were delicious. I had fish and my husband had goat meat. They people who work there constantly keep checking to see if you are satisfied with your food. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

Buyer beware! Surprised to see how badly a restaurant that seemed to hold promise ( at least from the pavement view) misses the mark by such a wide margin and continues to be in business, especially given a discerning clientele of Toronto. From the chutney...condiments that come with assorted platter, to sprinkled masala loaded platter, to Mushroom-Paneer-Matar (the chef at best confused the recipe with cream laden korma, at worst felt lazy and whipped out a concoction based on mass produced korma sauce), everything (with the exception of naan bread, hence 2 generous stars) was completely ‘unauthentic’ and generic version of Indian food. To add salt to injury, the bill was priced up from menu listed prices by 15%, and to add humiliation to already bruised palate, upon asking server an explanation for error in bill, ‘sorry, but the revised menu is out for printing’ came the reply!More

It was my first time dining in a restaurant after quarantine. The restaurant was great and took health and safety very importantly. The workers were all wearing masks all the time and there were sanitizers all over the place and easily accessible for everyone. The...food was more amazing than my expectations. In my opinion I had a really good experience and felt safe after getting out of my house after quarantine.More

We have not been here for a while but on a recent Sunday before going to a theatre matinee almost across the street, we decided to retry this place. Still white table cloths, good service and lots of buffet selections even for vegetarians. Items are...varied and tasty and you can either eat quickly or take as much time as you want. Having a filling sit-down lunch for under $20 each is getting harder to find in downtown Toronto. About the only negative is that it’s on the second floor with no elevator (that we could see) and the restrooms are one more flight up!! So, if you’re mobility impaired, this place is not for you.More

I visited this place to try their lunch buffet on a weekday. First of all when we reached, the place was too crowded and we had to wait to get a seat. I would say that waiting there wasn’t worth at all. First of all,...I believe they are overutilizing the place. All the tables and chairs are narrowly placed. Now, coming to the food. In Vegetarian, there were 2 appetizers (Samosa and Mix Veg Pakora), 5 Curries ( Gobi, Matar Paneer, Beans, Dal Makhani, Eggplant), Saffron Rice, Naan and 3 Desserts (Kheer, Gulab Jamun & Ice Creams). Apart from Dal Makhani, nothing stood out for me. Everything tasted average or below than average. The curries lacked flavors and spices. They all tasted very bland. The only thing that is good is you can try multiple options at a decent rate.More

There were quite a few choices in the buffet, which includes salad and dessert. For those who are spice-averse, nothing was terribly spicy...for those who like spice, you may find it on the bland side. Staff was not terribly friendly but were not rude. Note:...this location is NOT accessibility friendly in any way.More
