We ended up at Duff's quite by chance when the restaurant we planned to go to was not open. We noticed it was busy and seemed to be very popular, so we went inside. We were immediately greeted by staff member who was super friendly and seated right away. Our waitress came right up behind the host and asked us... More

First off, the wings at Duff's Famous Wings (Bayview Avenue location) are superb - we're talking FRESH chicken that's properly deep fried. If you happen to prefer other styles - "heavily breaded" or "oven baked" or "rotisserie" or "previously-frozen restaurant-grade breaded glop", that's fine, but Duff's is how "Buffalo Style Wings" are done. The sauces are excellent (especially the "hot"),... More

A friend suggested this place for a quick bite. The place wasn't busy for a Friday night but noticed 2-3 families with children dining. There seems to be more servers than customers in a modest sized restaurant as one of my friends noticed. Regardless, the service was swift and the wings were okay. Our server kept checking in on us... More

This is not the duffs I used to know. Unfortunately duffs doesn't know whether it's a restaurant or a mortuary. Forget about trying to watch a game here, whether it's cheering or getting a vantage point at a television, it's not happening. At one point during the night we were approached by the manager asking us to be quite after... More

this is the best in Toronto. You can go from mild to blow your head off super hot! A good place to go with friends after a game, etc.

Definitely my favorite wing spot in the north Toronto area. Wings, fries, and onion rings never disappoint at Duffs. Hot have a good flavour and a good level of heat. If you want to up the heat level order the extra hot or suicide on the side for dipping. Can't wait to go back.

Went with some friends to get some wings and watch the Raptor's game. The place felt like it was trying to be casual with the game going on TVs and the decor, but then also trying to cater to the more "refined" crowd in the local area with the background music instead of playing the sounds from the game. It... More

The wings are good, and I liked the celery with dill dip. Normally one thinks that a wing dinner is cheap but this wasn't the case. Wings & fries started at about $20 and when I added a salad & wine it cost about $50 with tax & tip.

Wings are bland, relies on sauce otherwise it's just plain fried wings. Managers is rude. Place is boring, overpriced for what you're getting.

This is what the best chicken wings place should be. You don't have to go to Buffalo. Nice cosy beers and t.v.s. There's also a challenge on the wall to eat more than 83 wings in one hour. You could be the World Champion. Unfortunately for me but al I can eat is about 7 wings, good luck. My son... More

Staying in East York

Neighbourhood Profile
East York
East York includes a portion of old, industrial Toronto. Densely populated but incredibly safe, it boasts some of the city's earliest gardens and gardening clubs, attracting green thumbs everywhere. The tranquility of the Don Valley River area, which is rich with Toronto's oldest and tallest forests, is supplemented by the large ensemble of authentic and refurbished Edwardian homes, giving parts of East York allure. The other draw is for foodies: lovers of Bangladeshi fare will find authentic restaurants and markets in the area, with raw spices and desserts. East York also represents a lot of Toronto's Serbian food culture, and recently, has had an outcropping of solid microbrewery stops. For families, the science center is a favored weekend stop.
