We've been coming here for years but had not been here in a while. We both ordered the chicken club sandwiches for lunch. They were fine. The side Caesar salad I had was pretty soggy, though. Fries are standard frozen I think. The menu is typical pub fare. It's a good place to come for a beer and watch sports,... More

Food is decent pub grub and they have Steigel beer. I had their swiss dip last time, shaved meet in a bun with a gravy sauce to dip into. Suprisingly good. Obviously a local dining drinking place and good to meet friends. The music and TV are not overly loud

The place is nice, the pizzas and calzone are very good. Also, they are open in general until pass midnight. That's great for travelers like us that use the day for knowing the city.

I was there not too long ago - had the fish n chips as did my friend - we were both quite ill a couple of hours later. This place did not leave a good taste in my mouth, no pun intended. On the plus side, the service was ... OK... B+ on the service. Will not be going back.

One of the favourite places to go for a relaxing atmosphere, tasty cold pints, and decent pub food. Their pizza menu is definitely one to try out when you're in the area! The service is friendly and efficient. Their menu has gone over a few recent updates and the selection is typical pub fare with an entire page dedicated to... More

This a really decent feel-good pub. If you're on the Danforth you have to go inside. The menu is pretty basic pub grub but it's good quality. They have 25-30 different styles of pizza to choose from that are all pretty distinct. I like their play on it being in Greek Town with the "Spanakopizza". I had the pizza with... More

By far and away, the best wood oven, thin crust pizza on the Danforth. A great family restaurant and pub. Friendly staff.

A lot of Toronto pizzerias have grabbed on to the thin-crust trend and with it grabbed on to high prices. Tonight we had a pizza and ceasar side salad for $9.99 each, which we suspect was a daily special. The pizzas were good, and the hot pepper flakes we added helped abey some of the doughiness of the bread. The... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
