My wife and I meet regularly with friends here to enjoy an evening of food and conversation. They have excellent chicken wings which is our usual food item of choice and a great selection of cold beer. Staff are friendly and we always feel welcomed.

Have seen this pub for years and never was inside . Our friends suggested it for dinner and it was wonderful . The meals were good , the beer was cold and the service was excellent . Would return again.

I work in the area and sometimes stop in for dinner or a snack after work. I have been a customer of Orwell's for many years, and I have never had a bad experience. Although one time, I did experience two servers arguing over their 'sections'. That was a bit annoying, and is something that should not be done in... More

Chicken wings are great!!! My whole family enjoys them. The staff is pleasant .... I would just say allow yourself time because they can be understaffed with only 1 person on the floor sometimes.

Colleagues and I enjoy this little pub restaurant located at the corner of Bloor Street West and Islington Avenue. They serve the standard pub food with a good selection of wines and beers for a reasonable price. What makes this place great is that they will grill their wings if you ask them to, because grilled wings taste so much... More

Orwell's is an old Etobicoke haunt that still does a great chicken wing and ice cold drafts. I recently dropped in for a quick pint and a few wings and was pleased wit the food and drink and especially impressed with the waitress who had a super attitude. Doddsy

This is probably a fun neighbourhood pub. Looks like they have an active darts league and a weekend brunch crowd. But for a weekday lunch, you can do much better on this strip of Bloor Street. The pub itself is cramped, worn and dark. The booths are tiny and most of the other table are high-tops. Definitely not a place... More

Orwell's Restaurant has some work to do to improve it's ratings. I was mightily disappointed with it's service, it was slow, terribly slow! For an order of ten chicken wings, it took 20 minutes. That's rough, especially since there were only twenty patrons in the place. The hot weather and the lack of air conditioning made for an uncomfortable wait.... More

My fiance, friend and I went there for dinner last Thursday night. My fiance and I split a piece of chocolate cake - and we were both violently ill the entire night and are still overcoming it. I called Friday morning to advise the staff. Whoever answered the phone didn't seem to speak English very well, so I am not... More
