best fried pickles known to mankind ! I highly suggested waiting a good 3 minutes as the roof of my mouth melted away from how hot and fresh they were haha. The burn was so worth it, I just couldn't wait
The food is good as far as bars go. It is a little pricey, but that goes with the location. The place gets noisy on crowded weekend nights sometimes. Not a super-clean restaurant. I will visit again though.
We were staying on Riverside and looking for a bar. Stumbled across the Loose Goose . Perfect for a nice beer and amazing selection of whisky. Then we tried the food..... fantastic !!
Have to mention the great staff as well . Really added to...the visit.
Loved it so much we went back twice more during our visitMore
Enjoyed dinner and a few beverages. The Montreal smoked meat sandwich with Swiss cheese was great; had it with tortellini soup, delicious. My son had a chicken wrap with fries (lots of fries). Very tasty. Lots of draft beer choices available. Amazing selection of scotch,...Irish whiskey, bourbon. Tv’s for sports. Staff very friendly and efficient. Prices reasonable. Saturday nite and the place was packed, but no pressure to eat and go. Server asked if we wanted the bill or did we want to relax and perhaps have another beverage.
My only issue with the management was their goofy reservation system. I called and left a message for a reservation. After a few hours and no call back, I called again and got a person. She suggested that I use the reservation system on line and I would get a response shortly. Well next day at 2pm no response. Called again. Got a person who said someone would answer my request. I wanted a reservation for 6:30 that evening. Kept pressing the issue with the person who reluctantly said she would check with the manager. Came back in a few minutes and said they thought there was a swim meet in town and that they would not take reservations. I said “now was that so hard” , you need to look after potential customers better. She suggested we could be a walk-in.
So we did and do not regret it. Either take reservations or not.
Regardless of the bad management, the dining experience was good and would go back.
Appeared to be a lot of locals eating there.More
Went here after going to the Detroit Lions game and through it was quite busy it was very good. We are wing fans and they have a ton of interesting combos to choose from. I think by the time it was over we both had...downed 28 wings each. Not necessarily recommended to eat that many but we both wanted to try some different combos. Our server was also very fun and friendly and it made for a good dining experience. A must try for wing fans.More
It doesn't matter if you get boneless chicken wings or just regular chicken wings the wing sauce is where it is at! WOW! So many unique flavours to chose from mild to very spicy, dry rubs as well! Cali Gold, Texas Gold have to be...my favourite medium and hot sauces. Very similar in flavour. I have tried a few different ones, the dry rub that I love is salt and vinegar. They have specials on chicken wings and boneless wings! Staff is great, it's a pub so it does get noisy. I don't drink often but tons of people go for beers!More
A good busy vibe in this pub restaurant. Staff busy but attentive. Knew their menu and what the specials were. Blackboard crowded with the huge listing of drink available, but the waitress seemed to know about all the beers available. The special was two types...of wings, two pound weight for 17cad. Very tasty ate the lot. Four mains a side and a round of drinks under 90cad. Excellent value.More
Not far from the casino at all! About a 5 minute scenic stroll along riverside drive will get you to the Loose Goose with ease. Call ahead for group dining as they often fill up quickly as it is a favorite spot for dinner.
