We visited after hearing a mention on local radio. My husband ordered the special sandwich and soup and I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap. The server we had provided excellent service. I was disappointed in the wrap being mostly dark meat and bacon that...was not well cooked (most wraps are breast meat). I did send it back and ordered the fries(which were homemade and delicious). I must say I have never sent food back at a restaurant and was surprised to be charged full price. The waitress was apologetic.More

R'NT Rancher was amazing. Chicken, bacon, ranch wrap and the new Greek wrap also great. Quick order time and the online ordering for pick-up is seamless. No need to register or pay in advance. Helpful, hardworking staff.

I have been here a couple of times now. The food and service are excellent. Especially, the coffee and rice pudding. Atmosphere is down to earth and friendly. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

This place is super chill, quaint and has great energy! Their food is always delicious, their serves are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is quirky. They also make butter tarts from scratch and you can order them by the dozen - DO IT! They...have tons of flavours and all of them are delicious!More

Small, homey diner. I had the hash and it was tasty. I liked the old-fashioned atmosphere. Service was quick and pleasant.

A much needed breakfast. Coffee is always full and fresh. Quick hits the spot. Corned beef hash. Say no more.

Wanted to try pea meal bacon and someone recommended Roast and Toast. We were so happy we went there. It was such a good breakfast place. The lemon French toast was heavenly. So yummy. Will definitely go back to try the other specials.

We stumbled upon this place by accident as we were headed somewhere else and it ended up being closed. So we went here for the first time this morning and opted for the fish burger and classic cheeseburger since we weren’t in the mood for...breakfast. Both burgers were excellent, as was the coleslaw! Also great value. We will be back for sure!More

We go most Sundays. Burger is handmade and no garlic, so I like it. Breakfast Skillets are awesome. Fast, friendly service with a used bookstore across the street. What more could you ask?

Found this place while visiting Windsor. Ordered breakfast. Large dark hair in mom's breakfast. Turned us all off eating breakfast. Maybe cook should wear hair net on large beard as well as head. Stomach still turning. They took one breakfast off bill. It happens I...guess but more could have been done to resolve it.More

Hi there, Sorry you were unsatisfied with the resolution. Our male chef does wear a hair net and a beard net, they are brown as is his hair so unless you are up close you cannot see. It is unfortunate that you had a hair...More

nothing fancy, old building in a historic area of windsor. the food was good, although a bit salty. we arrived late morning on a weekday and it was quiet. Unfortunately they didn't have any butter tarts that I had heard so much about. The waitress...was pleasant enough but not overly friendly. Also, it was quite cold in the restaurant on a cold winter day. We had a basic breakfast (prefer savoury over sweet at breakfast) although they had a good list of unique french toast offerings.More

My wife and I have been here many times and never an issue until today.  The place was relatively full, but we were still seated quickly by a young, quick speaking waitress after being asked if we wouldn't mind a table for 4 since we...were only two.....no problem, I like the extra room anyway!  Sit down, ordered coffee and began deciding on breakfast.   This same young lady comes to us as she places our coffee on the table asking us if we wouldn't mind moving to the 2 seater table by the window, but we don't have to as they have a party of 3 that are on their way and called in.   I've sat there before and it's quite drafty, so we politely declined and she said no problem.  Exactly 2 mins later she comes back to ask us the same question, claiming her manager wanted her to clarify.   Feeling very uncomfortable and unwanted, I asked why we are being forced to move after being given a choice and declined........she said, quickly, that she just wanted to make sure we understood she had other people to sit here.  OH, did I mention the 6 or 7 seats at the bar were empty?  Anyway, now I'm upset and told her you are making us very uncomfortable and unwelcome and we will not be back!   Actually very surprised the manager did nothing as repeat business walked right out the door!   Now you have all the seats in the world.........never have I  ever been so mistreated in any breakfast spot in town.......and I hit them all.........terrible service from this young lady.........also, poor management for not rectifying the situation and forcing us to go to another place as she didn't deserve our money!!More

When we found the online ratings, it didn't seem to fit with our first impression when we approached the building. The place looks a little rough and run down. Although the sign above the restaurant reads "MCM", the facility IS in the blue building across...the street from Juniper Books; the sign is on the window identifying it as "Roast and Toast." The place has limited seating, it's completely mismatched, and it's PACKED with customers. We went for brunch on Sunday. We got there around 10am. Thereafter, people who arrived had to wait for seating or sit at their charming diner counter. The servers were timely, cheerful, and kept the coffee coming. My friend and I each ordered a club house and split the fries that came with the combo, because the amount of fries you get with one combo is gigantic. They certainly don't skimp on serving size. Both of us ordered it on toasted rye. The fries are handcut, fresh and SO GOOD. Not only that, but the prices can't be beat. We were shocked at how different our impression was after spending time here. We will definitely be back!More

Thank you so much for giving us a chance. We are happy you didn't let the building deter you from trying out our food. We are just waiting for the day we can give the place a whole new facelift. We would just love that....More
