WATER PRINCE First stop on my seafood chowder and lobster roll tour. My favorite and 5 stars for both items. Didn’t post till I ate at three others. Maybe 10 tables and 20 or so seats inside (it was snowy and drizzly when I was...here on Oct.30). Only 8 other people here. Nice staff. Chowder: Really good. No hot sauce necessary. Thick and more seafood than potatoes. Lobster roll: Even better than the chowder. Just lobster in the grilled sliced thick piece of bread. Mayo is served on the side as it should be. Potato salad is good as is the small bit of coke slaw. I kept the lobster and roll plain.More

I had read great things about the lobster rolls here, and was not disappointed! The lobster filling was divine! The amazing bread used to hold the lobster was absolutely perfect for the job. I had a choice of sides and opted for a baked potato....Splendid! My partner had the halibut fish and chips and said the halibut was perfectly cooked. The fries were just okay. Our server was just the right amount of fun and friendly without being in our faces. Really nice guy, and the rest of the staff were great too. I hope to come back again someday!More

Sat outside this small corner restaurant. Both had fantastic full-to-the-brim lobster rolls and a couple of glasses of local wine. Initially very peaceful and great service. Were planning desserts and coffees but then 5 intolerable Frat guys from Ontario sat at the next table, shouting...at each other, bragging about gambling, what cars they drove and how many fish they’d caught. The waitress rolled her eyes a couple of times as she walked past but didn’t bother telling them to pipe down. Can’t quite remember the phrase; big car, small ….More

Walked in on a rainy Friday for lunch and luckily they managed to squeeze us in. Definitely make a reservation! No frills but delicious food. Started with local oyster followed by PEI mussels and a side of fries. The place is full of memorabilia, license...plates, etc. Servers very friendly.More

Came here because of the reviews and agree with them. This is not a white table cloth, expensive, restaurant. It is a down to earth place where you can get good versions of all the PEI staples.

We had the lobster dinner each (1.5lb) and it was amazing! We had the mussels to accompany and you get a massive bowl of delicious fresh mussels each with garlic butter. Then the lobsters arrived & while they didn’t look massive, they were deliciously fresh,...the shells were jam packed with meat and perfectly cooked (again with garlic butter to dip into). This was one of the best lobsters I’ve eaten & I’ve eaten a LOT!! The deserts sounded delicious but we were both so full we couldn’t squeeze even a wafer thin mint in.More

Water Prince Corner Shop and Lobster Pound is located very close to the cruise ship port -- which makes it very busy when multiple ships arrive at Charlottetown at the same time. Try to go for an early lunch to avoid a longer wait. Seating...was very efficient. The greeter took our name and party size. When space became available, we were seated outside at a picnic table that we shared with other customers. This is the only restaurant I have been to that offers an upgrade of traditional fish and chips -- by having the option to replace cod with halibut. The halibut was fresh, flaky and delicious. Our picnic table neighbors were enjoying the chowder and lobster. We were too full to try dessert.More

Lobster roll was yummy… as were the steamed mussels. Oysters were over cooked and shriveled up to nearly nothing tho. Quaint place. Loved the atmosphere. Short wait. Friendly staff.

This small unpretentious restaurant provides a great seafood experience in Charlottetown. Friendly, attentive staff. Local mussels cooked properly, not overcooked as many restaurants do. And if you like scallops, the scallop burger is a great alternative way to enjoy them. Prior to our visit to...PEI, had never before encountered one. On cruise ship days no reservations are taken, but the wait is worth it! Restaurant is close to the terminal.More

Dinner for 2. It's a relatively small restaurant but they do have outdoor seating under a canopy for overflow. We sat outside and it was the best lobster we had ever had. Server was a bit of a scatterbrain - kept forgetting to bring items...but she made up for it in her pleasantness and it added a bit of comedy to the dinner.More

Small, unpretentious spot about a block away from the waterfront. Make a reservation so you don’t have to wait. There is outdoor seating at long tables. Very cosy inside. I had fish cakes with slaw potato salad, and green tomatoes. The salad was okay but...not a fan of the egg in it; the green tomatoes were terrific with the fish cakes. My husband liked the fried scallops burger. Service was good. Central location.More
