Leonhard's is the cutest cafe for brunch! It offers a warm, welcoming, and clean atmosphere along with delicious breakfast and lunch options. Their sandwiches and soups are my favorites, and they have a diverse menu with something for everyone. While the doorway can be a bit cramped, the wait for a table is usually short. I highly recommend Leonhard's for brunch with your partner, family, or friends!

Our first visit and came away thinking this is a gem of a place. We had breakfast and the food was delicious. Service staff are very friendly and even though it was busy our waitress was on top of things and our food arrived quite quickly. The ingredients tasted very fresh and came back the next day for take out sandwiches for our road trip home. Again everything was top notch and fairly priced.

Beautiful cafe, decor is charming and staff lovely !
Husband had eggs Benedict as a brunch and I chose a steak sandwich on ciabatta with an aioli mayonnaise. The side dishes of potatoes and salad were yummy!
Nice to have some homemade well prepared food and to support local eateries.
Highly recommend this restaurant xo

Meals brought to the table did not match menu description, e.g. the beet tart did not seem to
have beets in it and the daily soup did not match its description. There was a selection of bread on the menu for sandwiches but only one kind was given to us - it was unclear if they’d run out of other kinds or if the waitress just didn’t take our selection. The sandwiches were mostly bread with a lot of lettuce and not a good amount of protein. Our waitress was snippy - she seemed to be rushing us to order and to get out. She did not care to check in on us during the meal, forgot
to bring us cutlery and whisked our plates away without asking if we were done. She then started cleaning our table when we were deciding on dessert so we didn’t bother ordering dessert. There were other tables available if more customers came in, so it seemed unnecessary to rush us.
Very disappointing outing with my family. Do not recommend.

The food was fresh, and offered something different from the typical local chain restaurants. There is something on the menu for everyone. Best of all they serve breakfast all day! The decor is charming and the staff is friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating (at least in the Summer)!

Best breakfast in Charlottetown, no question. The serving staff was friendly, and worked as a team helping each other out as it got busier.
The food was incredible, great presentation, and the flavours were bold, fresh, and perfectly seasoned.
Wish we'd found this place earlier in our trip so we could have visited a few times to explore more of the menu!

We ate here twice and both times the food was excellent. I need GF and my husband does not. We were both very happy. I had the turkey sandwich (not a bagel as is written on the menu) and it was flavourful and not dry. It was accompanied by an excellent salad. The next day I had eggs Benedict with crispy bacon, with potatoes and a side salad, and again it was excellent. I wish I had room for dessert as they have a few GF desserts, as well.

Delicious breakfast, amazing latte and chai latte and on your way out, please take a slice of the vanilla roll, we are still dreaming about it. The eggs benedict with jalapeno and avocado was spot on. Everything was so good that we went for breakfast both days we were in Charlottetown. Super friendly Owner (I think he was the Owner?).

I decided to pay Leonhard's Cafe a visit after reading all the raving reviews. I stopped by Saturday around noon and there was already a line, so tried again on Sunday at 11am. I was lucky to grab one of the last seats. The service was friend and I love the homey decor. I decided to go for "lunch" dishes and settled on a Cobb salad and the roasted tomato soup. The salad was beyond excellent and all the vegetables were fresh and the dark fig vinaigrette was tasty. The tomato soup surpassed my expectation and all these good food made the wait worthwhile. No wonder locals and visitors are willing to wait in queue for the excellent food served here. I definitely will return on my next visit to Charlottetown.

Arrived at cafe for brunch, we ordered the cappuccino and iced hazelnut latte - both were really good. Ambiance is very cute, friendly and really enjoyable.
The eggs benedict w/ guacamole and jalapenos was very good, the feta sandwich on foccacia was amazing - overall the food and ambiance was perfect for brunch.
Service was very good - our server Mika was very friendly and helpful w/ suggestions.
Definite a must stop when visiting charlottetown.

At the recommendation of a server from another restaurant in town, we picked up pastries to go for breakfast. They were so good, we decided to return for lunch. Yes, there was a line-up but there's a reason for that.... their food is fresh and amazing! I had the multi-grain grilled cheese with roasted pear, brie and havarti with a side salad. My husband had a chicken sandwich. If you are looking for quality, natural ingredients, you need to try Leonhard's. We commented that it just might have been the best food we ate in our entire 12 day trip!

We arrived at lunch time on a Saturday so there was a long line up to get in which only speaks to how wonderful this little restaurant is and the awesome food. I had the chicken goat cheese sandwich with salad on the side plus a bowl of the best tomato basil soup I've ever had. Alcohol is limited to either one brand of beer and same with red and white wine but this is primarily a breakfast and lunch establishment so what more can you ask for. Once inside, the service was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Ordered the vegan sandwich with the squash soup and was blown away. The food was incredible, portions well sized, the delivery was right on time and overall, was very pleased. My coworkers also had many positive things to say. Looking forward to returning soon. Thanks again for the great lunch.

Busy at lunchtime but there’s a reason for that! Doesn’t take reservations but the wait wasn’t long. Wonderful fresh 1/2 sandwich accompanied by a generous salad made for a great lunch. Soup of the day can be ordered instead of salad. Great lunch stop. Desserts looked amazing. Service was friendly.

We stopped by Leonard’s for a late breakfast and were not disappointed. The Cafe is bright clean and cheerful - much like our server. We found the menu creative and the food was excellent. There is a blackboard full of breakfast and lunch options and your dollar goes a long way here.
