We have been enjoying every experience Jo Jo Jowe have had as loyal customers of Papa Joe’s. You could always count on consistency. My husband ordered a steak sandwich this time. It was so rare there was red juice everywhere. And the grissle was left...on. It was gross. We were really frustrated and disappointed. We dropped in on a busy Tuesday evening about a week after hurricane Fiona hit P.E.I hard, and Papa Joes was open and happy to serve. Attentive service, very good lobster roll and bouillabaisse with tomato sauce that had good punch to it and lots...of seafood and potatoes. A fine experience overall.More

Out of all our meals here was our BEST diner! The pasta was so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend it. The chicken avocado burger, bolognese and chicken linguini were all fabulous.

Fish and chips and fish tacos were excellent. Salads were good as well. Some gluten free options which is nice. Service was pretty quick.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Presentation was spot on. Atmosphere was very good. Very clean and neat with reasonable pricing. Highly recommend to anybody.

We had spent the day at the waterfront and I had wanted to eat downtown again, but my husband was anxious to leave, so we decided to find somewhere to eat on our way back to our Airbnb. We happened upon this place … and...I’m so glad we did. We had the seafood chowder (so much deep flavour), fish and chips (light and breaded in cornmeal), pasta bolognese (with creamy dollops of ricotta and two generous pieces of garlic toast), followed by their house-made baklava cheesecake … which was an unexpected and divine way to end our meal. Our server was amazing but one thing to note, the owner (or maybe the manager) walked around and talked to all the locals, but seemed to snub the tourists. It wasn’t very welcoming in that respect, but our server and the other staff were friendly so that made up for the somewhat obvious disregard for visitors. Other than that, we were pleasantly surprised to find this place … it was one of the best meals we had while visiting Charlottetown.More

There were 8 of us and some have never been to PEI before. We went for supper and didn’t mind the wait as we understood we were a large number. One of the owners came to let us know they had seating for us in...a very timely manner that we appreciated. The wait staff was wonderful and patient helping some with their orders. The food was excellent and we were the last to leave as they were cleaning up to close. The wait staff was even kind enough to take a few group shots of us. Thank you Papa Joes for a wonderful experience!!More

Definitely not to be missed! The food and service were special! The steak was cooked to perfection and the crusted haddock and scallops were delicious. The calamari starter was crisp and flavourful. Would recommend making reservations.

My husband and I spent four days recently in Charlottetown and we went to Papa Joe's for dinner on three evenings. Every meal was delicious, the wait staff were friendly, prompt and professional. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Great food and atmosphere....Will definitely be back next time we're on the Island!More

For a sunny Tuesday the place was packed - glad we made reservations! Poke bowl, salad and chicken meals were very good. Service was a little slow, but they were busy, so that's forgivable. What is not forgivable is the use of two previously frozen...rectangles of fish on a plate of fish and chips! C'mon Papa Joe, is that really the standard you aspire to? So disappointing.More

When we arrived at the restaurant, we almost decided to eat elsewhere because of the nondescript exterior, however we had read the positive reviews and we were tired of seafood! The interior of the restaurant was modern and clean. The service was prompt and friendly....Our meals were fantastic. My steak was cooked perfectly. The linguini with chicken was delicious and more than my 15 year old pasta-lover could finish in one sitting. We were very impressed. Would definitely return for another meal!!More

When I say, well rounded, I don't mean how you will look when you leave but how well rounded their menu is. They have a great selection for every pallet. Lebanese, Canadian, seafood and more. Very clean and well appointed restaurant. They always keep it...up to date. The food is excellent and the staff are really accommodating. We had a member of our party who has some very particular dietary needs and the wait staff were more than willing to help us with that need. Of course, what would a review be without a little criticism. I found that the wait time from order placement to receiving our meals was quite slow. Also, although the desserts were very good, they were a little overpriced. All in all a great place to dine and catch up with old friends.More
