When we got there, the host couldn’t find our reservation even though we received a confirmation email for it. The food we had was ok. We just wanted some small appetizers to share for dinner as we had a late lunch. We sat outside. There wasn’t much of a view. The patio seemed a bit crowded but the chairs were actually very ergonomic and comfortable. The nachos were a bit disappointing. Not much toppings and they give you a small dipping container of salsa and sour cream. When our kids asked for more, it was another $2.00 each for a tiny dipping sauce size. The lobster and spinach dip was pretty tasty. I’d probably give it another try.

The scenery and ambiance was great - a view of the water while listening to live music. However, the food was mediocre. I had a lobster roll (gfo) with fries and was expecting amazing flavor since the island is known for seafood. It was just ok. I also ordered the gf brownie brûlée and it was the driest, most flavorless dessert I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even eat half of it.

This restaurant overlooks the harbor, has live music, friendly waitstaff and good food. The fisherman’s chowder was excellent, loaded with seafood and a nice cream base. Charlottetown is very walkable so you can easily walk to the restaurant from most locations. We sat outside on a rather windy evening and it was still delightful.

We ordered delivery. First please note that shawarma at this restaurant is not cooked on the spit, it is pan fried. We received our order, had paid $3 extra for tzatziki. They just replaced this with garlic sauce, without any communication. When WE called, they said that they had no tzatziki and that they will have it available the next day. We also ordered the very simple Tut's veggies. This came without humus and babaganoush, both pretty much essential to the order. Instead we received 5 hockey pucks of falafel and dry pita chips. The restaurant then continued to argue and defend their food quality. Never going to sit at the restaurant nor order from them again. Terrible experience, I hope that they begin to understand customer service and exactly the quality expected from the expensive food they promise.

Went to this restaurant this evening and umbrella from table behind us blew upward and then the end speared my daughter in law in the back. Another customer came to see if she was ok and requested a bag of ice. No manager came to apologize no offer of a free meal nothing. Food was ok young waitress was friendly but no one in authority made any effort to assist when the restaurant was at fault for not having umbrellas adequately anchored. Very very disappointed that a maritime establishment would act in this manner

We visit this restaurant every year during our holiday. The location is great and the quality of food has kept us coming back. Yesterday was likely our last though - there are many other restaurants in the area, old and new, and time to take our holiday money elsewhere. My husband ordered the grilled chicken breast club but it was literally a search to find the chicken. The main ingredient in the sandwich was the cheese spread. We did mention to the waitress (not all all her fault) and she told the kitchen and discounted our meal by 10%. We weren’t looking for compensation, simply a good lunch. Any reputable cook should have realized before sending that meal to a paying customer that the main ingredient was very much shortchanged. We acknowledge the struggles that businesses are having with staff, costs etc. but if you have set your price and described your item then it is up to you to provide that item to your customers who are paying the increased prices.

Flavourless mussels in PEI. I never imagine it could happen until I had them at that restaurant. Also, the clam chowder was so salty, the chowder I buy at the supermarket is way better… view was great, but u will never go back there, I would rather eat 7 eleven or any other place

Got tired of walking around in the pouring rain and so just sort of settled on Peakes. Actually, the lobster roll lures us in. Nice crowd considering the weather and we enjoyed the singer in the bar. The lobster roll was good, probably the best of our trip so far which was Maine, Nova Scotia and PEI. You got a god amount of lobster. I was tired of seafood and so opted for a burger. Big mistake. The patty was only 3 oz, about the size of a single McDonald's patty. The bun completely dominated the burger and whatever sauce they poured on drowned out and taste of the beef. French fries weren't that great either and I ate only a few. Despite the great location, there are probably better options nearby.

Stopped in for a late dinner, around 8:30pm on a Sunday night, shortly after arriving in Charlottetown for a few nights. The restaurant was not busy at all, and yet service was slow and lacking. Portion size was terrible, half of us left the restaurant still hungry. Our server could not have been more disinterested in us. She actually groaned when I explained we were not from Charlottetown and inquired about the area for example where we would find a grocery store or liquor store. Perhaps that was my mistake for expecting someone in the hospitality industry to be welcoming and helpful. As we exited and four young people standing at the entryway to the upper deck smiled and waved as we left……….could not have felt less welcome. There are a number of other restaurants in the area so I suggest save yourself the time and money and go there.

I visited with friends on a Saturday around lunch time. We had some shared apps and some main dishes. There was an issue with one of our dishes, chicken tacos were delivered that should have been fish and the staff were able to fix the error quickly so we were all still eating at the same time. We had some good banter about some of the newer summer drinks.

We visited Peakes Quay on a wet rainy day so could not enjoy the outdoor patio & views. The location is ideal with views of the harbour & waterfront. Staff and server were friendly, polite and quick with our food. Our party of four had mostly seafood dishes which were fresh, well cooked and tasty, The fresh PEI oysters & mussels were perhaps the best ones I ate during our 12 day Maritime road trip. We missed out on the $1 oysters (before 6 PM) which would have been a treat! Peakes Quay has a nice pub atmosphere with big screen TV's, ideal setting to hangout for drinks & bites. I definitely recommend a visit if you're in Charlottetown.

We went here for lunch and our waitress graciously seated us early (11:10), even though the kitchen didn’t open until 11:30. We were able to order our drinks immediately and give our lunch orders for when the kitchen opened. We traveled with small children and the waitstaff were so patient and friendly. Lunch was really yummy (though the lobster roll was a bit dry, as was the chicken in the chicken Caesar salad), but our friendly waitress (I apologize— I forget her name!) made up for that by being so gracious, kind and welcoming. The location is lovely as the restaurant is right at the harbor front and the flowers and general aesthetic are beautiful. In terms of COVID protocols, we felt safe and welcomed.

We have eaten here before and have always had a great meal and experience, the view of Charlottetown's waterfront is so nice. We were very excited to visit this year because they installed an outdoor elevator, making their patio accessible for our whole family. We enjoyed another great meal and the staff were friendly, helpful and so kind.

Our first visit to Charlottetown and PEI. Picked Peake’s Quay for some cold beers on a hot summer day based on location and the upper deck. Welcoming and friendly service from the bartender. Too hot for me inside so I found a table on the deck with a lovely breeze. Before I even said a word, Jojo appeared with napkins, hand wipes and a menu to use as a fan. Her service was incredible. Enjoyed some PEI mussels and crab & lobster dip with our cold beers. Good beer selection. Jojo recommended a stop on our drive back to New Brunswick and so glad we listened to her.

We arrived for lunch after having done a boat tour. Unfortunately it was a rainy day so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor patio but they do have a covered section as well. The restaurant is elevated so you have a nice view of the the harbour. We were waited on by Megan and she was excellent: very friendly and didn't rush us. They have a large selection of drinks and draft beer and also an extensive menu. The atmosphere is also very relaxed and welcoming. The four of us shared some apps including crab and lobster dip, nachos, seafood bruschetta and fish cakes. Three were excellent while the nachos I would describe as average. This was a really nice lunch and would have been excellent had the weather cooperated. Manu cheers ...............
