My wife loved her fish tacos. My friend and I both got fish and chips with chowder instead of chips. Fish was super greasy, soggy batter and tasted like pre-made highlander frozen fish. Better Haddock in Ontario. Chowder was cold and tasted terrible. Wait staff...were excellent.More

We arrived for lunch after having done a boat tour. Unfortunately it was a rainy day so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor patio but they do have a covered section as well. The restaurant is elevated so you have a nice view of the the...harbour. We were waited on by Megan and she was excellent: very friendly and didn't rush us. They have a large selection of drinks and draft beer and also an extensive menu. The atmosphere is also very relaxed and welcoming. The four of us shared some apps including crab and lobster dip, nachos, seafood bruschetta and fish cakes. Three were excellent while the nachos I would describe as average. The scenery and ambiance was great - a view of the water while listening to live music. However, the food was mediocre. I had a lobster roll (gfo) with fries and was expecting amazing flavor since the island is known for seafood. It was just...ok. I also ordered the gf brownie brûlée and it was the driest, most flavorless dessert I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even eat half of it.More
Our first visit to Charlottetown and PEI. Picked Peake’s Quay for some cold beers on a hot summer day based on location and the upper deck. Welcoming and friendly service from the bartender. Too hot for me inside so I found a table on the...deck with a lovely breeze. Before I even said a word, Jojo appeared with napkins, hand wipes and a menu to use as a fan. Her service was incredible. Enjoyed some PEI mussels and crab & lobster dip with our cold beers. Good beer selection. Jojo recommended a stop on our drive back to New Brunswick and so glad we listened to her.More
This restaurant overlooks the harbor, has live music, friendly waitstaff and good food. The fisherman’s chowder was excellent, loaded with seafood and a nice cream base. Charlottetown is very walkable so you can easily walk to the restaurant from most locations. We sat outside on...a rather windy evening and it was still delightful.More

Stopped in for a late dinner, around 8:30pm on a Sunday night, shortly after arriving in Charlottetown for a few nights. The restaurant was not busy at all, and yet service was slow and lacking. Portion size was terrible, half of us left the restaurant...still hungry. Our server could not have been more disinterested in us. She actually groaned when I explained we were not from Charlottetown and inquired about the area for example where we would find a grocery store or liquor store. Perhaps that was my mistake for expecting someone in the hospitality industry to be welcoming and helpful. As we exited and four young people standing at the entryway to the upper deck smiled and waved as we left……….could not have felt less welcome. There are a number of other restaurants in the area so I suggest save yourself the time and money and go there.More
Stopped here with a friend for Dinner at the end of a long motorcycle trip and had an excellent meal.
Great service and food sat at bar and all the local gossip. Will let others that are going to PEI to stop and eat there.

Large popular deck by Peakes wharf with run-of-the-mill pub food. Everything was ok, nothing was special. Service was friendly. Big seller is amazing raw oyster special during happy hour. Go well with buckets of beer.
We travelled from Cavendish to Charlottetown in search of a restaurant with a patio and ocean view and we ended up here. (saw at least a dozen other spots in between but my wife doesn't listen) Anyways - 1PM we were able to slide right...in and get a spot on the patio. I would describe it as a place where you can get a half decent meal while sitting in the middle of a very busy tourist area/trap. The price matches the location but the food could use some work. The drinks (for what you pay) simply come out in whatever basic glass they have. (I really don't care) The food came out (kids sizes were pretty small - chicken fingers had small portion of fries with two chicken fingers) - (hamburger came out with nothing on it - used the ketchup on the table and asked for mustard). The family used the restrooms prior to eating and even a 7 year old said, "they were disgusting and stunk". The wife confirmed this.More

My wife and I with our nephew, his wife, and 2 young boys had a SUPER-EXCELLENT lunch today at Peakes Quay Restaurant. The food and service was A2. A2 is twice-as-good as A1. The interior atmosphere was great and the food tasted great. Also, our...server Jacy was excellent with knowledge of everything, and excellent service.
