The bakery doesn't accept credit cards, but other than that. it can't be beat. We have found everything to be excellent. Great island potato salad, wonderful bread, and unfortunately for your waistline, fantastic cookies and other desserts.

Recommended by a friend who drives from Kensington. Wednesday at 2 pm we stopped for a bite to eat. Very busy, but friendly/patient staff. Had an amazing roast beef sandwich with choices of homemade breads, veggies, cheeses, and condiments. Paired with a homemade chicken noodle...soup. Tasted amazing, reasonably priced, and PEI service. I’ll be back without hesitation and Thanks to Water Street Bakery!More

I stopped in to grab a sandwich for lunch after having an early morning appointment and ended up also picking up a few other things. I never think of the bakery since I work in the opposite direction and figure I would never get there...during open hours. I am so thrilled to say I was wrong! Seeing this gem is open at 7am, I will go out of my way to treat myself. The young ladies who took my order and rang me in were friendly, patient, and deserving of a shout out. This likely just became my favorite lunch counter!More

You simply have to go here if you like anything bakery or deli. One of the best ham and Swiss sandwiches I’ve ever had, on the freshest, homemade bread you can imagine. I’d buy just about anything from this great place.

Stopped in for lunch on our way through town. The place was fairly full at lunch time, but the service was very fast, efficient and friendly. The sandwiches were great and the baked goods for dessert were even better. Reasonable prices, great food and service...- highly recommended!More

The Summerside Deli is a must for local baked goods and traditional Acadian food. We visit here each time we are in Summerside to buy their French biscuits and rapure (Acadian grated potato and pork dish). Their rapure is like my Mom and her Acadian...family's so it brings back lots of happy memories. They also have a great lunch counter.More

You really have to look for this place. It's on a main road but not easily visible. We have tried the fresh deli sandwiches and some of the baked goods. All that we tried were good. They even have some prepared foods that you can...buy and heat later.More

There are too many people going here to buy the baked fresh breads and rolls, the cookies, cinnamon buns, and treats! How can I get my fill if all YOU people are buying up everything? But seriously This is the go-to place for the freshest...baked goods. They have a great selection of made-to-order lunch sandwiches, pizza, soups, and goodies that keep me going back again and again. Simply a great bakery! Go early, shop lots because come lunch time the parking lot is jammed with hungry customers.More

This place has it all, and apparently does it all well, too. The breakfast cinnamon rolls were delicious and filling (get a pack to go; and warm them up for the next morning), and then visit for countless lunch options (pizza, shepherds pie, chilli, sandwiches)....Fresh bread baked daily. Lots of take home options in bigger containers at cost effective prices. Tip: bring cash or debit only.More

This place has no bathrooms, doesn't accept cash and debit, and 90 percent of the time they only ave one person at the register while there's 2 registers and they do this at the busiest time of the day. Worst set up ever. Okay good...but need a much better setupMore

We were in a bookstore in Summerside and the owner told us of a great bakery for oatmeal raison cookies. This bakery was easy to find and had picnic tables on the outside so we decided to eat lunch there. Very busy but staff efficient...and quick. I got the freshly made roast beef on wheat with tomato, lettuce and mustard. My husband got the egg salad wrap. Both were really good and we finished lunch off with the oatmeal arisen cookies. Would go again. Picnic tables near entrance are a little crowded as people entering bakery have to squeeze by so the rating was not perfect but still would go again.More
