We came across this restaurant looking for a lunch spot . When we entered and waited for a hostess we thought the ambience would be perfect for lunch. The hostess seated us and only offered one menu and when we asked for a second menu...she empaticaly said "NO" . She said she would send a waiter over that spoke english since her english was limited. When rhe waiter came he was more than happy tomprovide us with another menu and he explained the menu ( which was in French only ) the lunch menu was a 3 course prix fixed meal with coffee. We were told all the items on the menu were locally sourced ingredients ....the tomato soup was wonderful...the french sausages were very good with roasted potatoes and vegetables, the lasgna came in a bowl which was unusual but was decent and filling. The dessert was cheese cake with a raspberry sauce ...tiny tiny portion and rather dry . The coffee was cold. Not consistent !! It appeared mostly business clientele were having lunch . $50 including tip is a bit much for lunch .More

You can’t go wrong. It is not that cheap but it is so good you won’t regret it. Meat is very good my husband had a steak it was delicious our friend had beef tartare and I got a general thao everyone was very with...their choice. There a British waiter, who is just so professional I hope he will serve you. Toilets are very clean. It is a comfortable place to eat. The wine list is good. Parking place easy to find. One the street near the restaurant or on the city parking.More

Excellent food, well seasoned with an interesting choice of plates. It was a last minute reservation. We are a difficult family to please and for the very first time in a long time we were all pleased. Well done!

Great service. Food taste is average. Presentation is great. Good wine selection. Prices average $30 per person per main course. Beef tartare is not bad at all. Steak is so so. Soup was good.

We were 2 adults that ate at this restaurant on July 15, 2018. It was quite by accident that we discovered this most enjoyable restaurant. We both chose seafood dishes as starters. Delicious! For the main course, my guest chose riz de veau (not sure...how to translate that!) and I had the carbonara. Both dishes were very pleasing. We skipped dessert as we were full. The wine was excellent. Although this restaurant has a terrace, we elected to eat inside as it was very hot on the terrace. Service was very keen & friendly. It is very seldom that I comment on washrooms but these washrooms were especially cute. Someone went to a lot of trouble!! That is a good sign!! They want their guests to have a memorable dining experience!More

Biking through the the Lac St Jean veloroutes our tour stopped in Chicoutimi and we had dinner at La Cuisine. Excellent fresh food (great bread - always a sign of a good restaurant), great ambience and service. The scallops were outstanding. La Cuisine is a...good reason to visit Chicoutimi = best meal in 2018!!!More

Very nice restaurant! Food is fantastic I got the elks, and it is cooked perfectly. The other guy got ribeye and looks good. The parnips mash is creamy, and the accompanied vegetables are well done. There is a fern like asphagus-- I would order it...just on its own. Nice place for fine dining and business setting.More

We were vacationing in Saguenay, had dinner Sunday night, not impressed at all. Unreasonable long wait for main course, their explanation was not enough chefs for visitors.... My son had a veal, came dry, unseasoned, vegetables not cooked, scallops for my husband were ok and...my risotto wasjust ok. I would not recommend it at the price point.More

Driving around Quebec and stopped in Chicoutimi to see the Maison Blanc that survived the floods. Anyways found this little place and decided to show up. Didn’t have a reservation but we were early enough that they seated us. The restaurant did fill up so...make a reservation if you want to get a table. We had the Bretzel crusted salmon - just beautifully done- and I started with the green salad with chef dressing- so tasty!! My husband had the legume soup also very good. Everything is freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Staff attentive even though they were so busy. Definitely recommend for a tasty dinner out!! A surprise find!!More

Our waiter was fantastic. The menu was French only but our waiter helped so much, he even googled to translate for us. The food was superb. It was a lovely dinner and atmosphere.

We go to La Cuisine about once every two months. The ex-owner Guillaume was great with his greetings and very friendly. The food is always first class. The services is super with knowledgeable waitresses and freat for a calm atmosphere. The wine list is excellent...and reasonablly priced. Great quality-price!More

Recommended by the owner of the B&B at which we stayed, who also suggested reservations were needed. Excellent decor and atmosphere, and lots of options to pick from on the menu. We went with a seafood risotto that was delicious, and a chicken dish with...lots of fresh vegetables, all nicely presented. Would have given this a 5 star rating, but the service was slow - at least one more server is needed on busy nights.More
