We called at 6pm on Saturday night and were told we could come right away for a table for 4. We were the last people seated before we left at 9. Prices are very reasonable. There were 4 appetizers, 1 soup, 4 main courses and...2 deserts and a cheese plate to choose from. All items could be ordered a la carte or 4 courses for a fixed price ranging from $59.00 to $65.00. Although they did not list wines by the glass, they gladly served a carafe of red wine for $28 and a complentary glass of a sparkling white wine in lieu of Champagne. The appetizers were steak tartar, a fish tartar, foie gras pan fried and a seafood casserole. The casserole was delicious in a cream sauce of cauliflower. A cream of tomato soup was served with the price fixed menu in addition to the appetizer and main course. The soup was very good, although it could have been hotter. The main courses were dore poelee pan fried which came with large selection of local vegetables and a cream sauce ($59.95 for 4 courses) filet mignon with potatoes; steak and lobster with root vegetables which was also quite nice ($43.95 a la carte) ; and rack of lamb. Desserts were either creme brulee with lavender, a 4 cheese tray, or another item that I don't remember. The creme brulee was very good with a strong aroma and flavor of lavender. The only hostess and waitress was the lady of the house who was very efficient, but also very charming. All in all it was a delightful and delicious evening. I should mention two things which might be a problem for some visitors. There are several steps to enter the house, and though I did not inquire there did not appear to be a handicap entrance. You should ask when reserving if you will need handicap access. Second, the lady in charge of all service and reservations speaks very little English which might complicate matters if no one in your party speaks French, but if like me you can read a menu in French, it is certainly worth making the effort to be understood by a very patient lady.More
