A very small restaurant where you can bring your wine. That helps a bit the price of a dinner. The decor is rather indifferent and the tables are very numerous so you'll get into the neighbour conversation. The food is good but a little overpriced .We took the recommended special fish of tge day. Portions are small but tasty.

Our 10-person birthday dinner was very special thanks to this restaurant. It provided amazing food in a nice cozy space. The squid ink potatoes with grilled octopus was fascinating. And the quality of both the rabbit and duck was superb.

Had a Xmas party with the sales and manufacturing team last week at this busy spot on le Plateau Montreal. Bring your own beer and wine so you can save a few $$$. We had several dozen oysters to start. The home made potage was very tasty. Had the blackened cod which was very good. Had a taste of the... More

Great food! Good ambiance! Mise en bouche was great (beef tartare) which helped me. The short ribs were great too!

Having had a pretty good meal here several years ago, we decided to give it another try. Was even better this time. The place turned out to be very busy for a Monday night, something the waiter advised me they had not anticipated. She nevertheless did quite a good job under the circumstances, even managing to maintain good cheer though... More

Went there with my wife as she remembered a good experience few years ago. We were very disappointed, the fish was expensive and almost had nothing to eat in the plate for 30$... then I started to eat and it had a mold taste, as if I was eating some dirt from the soil. Still have it. We switched for... More

The food was prepared perfectly and was beautifully presented. Inventive menu and good service. Go there on a warm evening when the window walls are up.

This is the perfect casual spot. For family, for romance, for just eating well. That evening, we were on a bugdet. It paid off. BYOB/W was perfect to be able to splurge on a nice dinner. Every one tasted on everyone' s else plate. I had to look up Saskatoon berries the next day... Could not remember the english word... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
