I do NOT take the time to write reviews but Cafe Olimpico next to the William Gray Hotel is worth it. Excellent, smooth coffee and the homemade white chocolate, milk chocolate, and hazelnut biscotti - wonderful. The morning Barista - the handsome guy with the...man bun whom I'm forgetting his name - so pleasant even with the pressure of the morning line of folks. I promised him I would be back. Go!More

Went the first day of our trip and was back every day that week. Best coffee and dessert choices. Now if they could only open some locations down in the States!

I would call this place a hidden gem, but clearly the secret is out. Small and unassuming, I almost didn't go in. So glad I did! Luckily I was able to visit 3 more times before I left Montreal. Great coffee drinks and croissants, and...the stuffed donuts are dangerously good. Best part for me was the very sweet and welcoming 2 guys that seem to run the shop and were there every day. I am from US and this was storied Canadian friendlness at its best!More

A quaint cost cafe next to one of the hotels in old Montreal. Had a macchiato and ham n cheese croissant which was good. Would come back.

I ordered a redeye, but as they don’t serve straight brewed coffee they made me a double Americano. Good choice, smooth cup of joe. The tiramisu is imported from Italy, not too rich. The pistachio donuts are very good.

Discovered this cafe while staying at Hotel William Gray and visited twice a day during my stay. Top notch espresso and great service by David and the other baristas.

There’s many words that could be used to describe this place: bijoux, cosy, petite but the best word is friendly! I called in for a coffee on my walking tour of the old town, great coffee, tasty pastry, but for me the warmth of the...staff and general vibe makes this a place to visit, not just buy a coffee.More

Found this place walking through old montreal, and it has to be my favourite cafe, the desserts are amazing, came here everyday that I was visiting, the ricotta donut is to die for, the pear cake was out of this world and the cannolis are...really good too! The tiramisu was good too but the others were way better and tiramisu is my favourite dessert. The cappuccino / coffee is amazing. The only down fall about this place was I went here the night of my birthday to get a cappuccino and a dessert, it was 8 minutes before 12am which is closing and they refused to serve me even after my friends explained it was my birthday and basically begged them to do it, the one guy there was pretty rude about it.. if your going to be open until 12am, at least keep the machines on until then and not be rude about it when someone comes in and deny them before your closing time… besides that, everything they have is amazing.More

Ordered 2 hot chocolates and 2 cafe mochas for a sit in order. The drinks were put in thin white paper cups which were too hot to hold. The baristas were unpleasant. The coffee and the hot chocolate had a terrible taste, mostly because of...horrible choice of flimsy white paper cups, hence were trashed. The place is small, unorganized and the rudeness of the staff makes it even further unwelcoming.More

The Cafe is within the Hotel William Gray and it’s a very popular place. If you want a nice cup of coffee or tea this is the place to go but you cannot be in a rush. The queues are generally very long and unorganized...so you’re never sure where it starts or ends. The Latte’s are prepared and presented very nicely and if you luck out the croissants are very tasty. Best to go off peak hours and then sit on the benches on the side street.More

There is almost always a queue and for good reason. The best news is that the service is fast so while it looks daunting, you don't have to wait too long. Great coffee and pastries. Highly recommend that you visit Olimpico to fuel your day...in Old Montreal.More
