Fantastic service. Sat by the window and enjoyed myself immensely. It was my fiancées first time trying fondue and he’s hooked. Had the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue. We started with the French onion soup. Lots of onions and the cheese was melty and hot. The broth was deep and rich. The cheese fondue came with bread (olive and plain), apples, grapes and for an extra 5$ we got a veggie plate with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, mushroom and pepper. They should offer baby roasted potatoes with it. But It was fantastic. The chocolate fondue finished off the meal with pieces of crepe, marshmallows, strawberries, pineapple, grapes and banana. The chocolate was hot and smooth and soooo worth it!!!! Can’t wait to visit again!!!!

After visiting a friend at McGill University, I decided to further explore Old Town Montreal. It was about 2 pm when I passed the doors of Creperie Chez Suzette and decided to sit back a relax a bit before further exploring this section of Montreal. I am a huge fan of crepes and coffee. Creperie Chez Suzette on rue St. Paul has curb appeal and of course crepes. I managed to get a quaint window seat where me and my quest could unwind, and enjoy some people watching with some coffee and crepes.
The creperie offers a number of other items mostly between $12-$20 but we had the La Rougemont (#13.49) which was a crepe filled with apple, almond chips, sprinkled with cinnamon and two scoops of ice cream. Life is short so eat dessert first. It was my kind of enjoyable experience thus the 4 STARS.

If you eat at one place in Montreal, make CrĂŞperie Chez Suzette the place! It is located on St. Paul Street, just a 3 minute walk from the Notre Dame Basilica. They offer a 3 course fondue meal for 2 people which is EXCELLENT. For a great price, you get cheese fondue, beef and chicken fondue (you cook beef and chicken pieces in gravy), and chocolate fondue for dessert. They give you so many options and pieces for dipping and it's just heaven on a stick. Service was excellent. Gotta eat here!

We decided to give this place a try one morning for breakfast, it was probably the busiest day of the week.
The table are scattered on two levels but they are distanced nicely so we had no worries.
The menu offers something for everyone and the Crepes are perfectly cooked and presented.
The staff are very courteous and on this particular day absolutely run off their feet.
The location is right in the heart of old town so the streets are buzzing with people and with the windows open it makes for a very engaging experience. Outdoor dining is available but you need to be patient as they fill up quickly.

Best thing I can say is the service was great, the server was friendly and efficient. I had a crepe that included a banana and while it was still tasty for the price you pay I wasn't expecting frozen/defrosted bananas. Presentation was pretty.... Basic tea was very expensive. Wouldn't go back, had a better crepe from a cart the next morning elsewhere.

This café offers a cosy dining experience with a large variety of flavourful dishes. My favourite dish was the onion soup which was rich without being overly salty. There was also a healthy dose of cheese and maple syrup which served well as a complement. In comparison to other eateries along this street in Old Port Montreal, this creperie is also more reasonably priced if you're looking for less heavy food.
Despite the above, it's worth noting that service was noticeably slow. It took around 30 minutes for the garlic soup and crepe to be served. Whilst the male waiter was friendly and helpful throughout the wait, the blonde female waiter was consistently dismissive when I asked for a follow-up. I also noted that the few tables which were seated after me were served within 5 to 10 minutes. I was able to write a short letter in the time it took my food to arrive. This detracted from an otherwise positive experience.
On a positive note, the restaurant boasts ample capacity with three floors of spacious seating space. Perhaps my experience is a unique one and yours will not vary as much.

As a Breton who invented the crepes, and wandering in the very pittoresque Old Town of Montreal in the famous rue St Paul, I stopped at creperie chez Suzette for a late dinner.
The menu looked very Breton, but the usual fillings you normally find in France in such restaurant were replaced by very Canadian filling with maple syrup, ham and Brie which I chose. The cider became cider plus rum cinnamon and honey, served warm, certainly a very daring and delicious reinvention of the traditional cider served with crepes. The service was very efficient and friendly. I cannot recommend that gem more warmly. It is located in rue St Paul, a cobbled street in the Old town, completing an experience of rare and innovative French Canadian cuisine.

Good crepes and other food restaurant in a central tourist location. Friendly and attentive staff, but beware on extras being added. We were offered a choice of salads with our sandwiches, but no mention was made that only one type was included for the price. It was only when we got the bill that we found extras had been added.
Took the shine off an otherwise quite nice location and wouldn’t return as a result

We had tried to get into this restaurant a few days before but were faced with a gruff waiter complaining that we had stepped inside and had to wait. When we returned to the area there was a different waiter serving and we were quickly shown to a inside table near a window (it was a hot day and it provided a nice breeze). Despite this being a "creperie" I had a "Jambon Suisse" sandwich and a local beer. There seemed to be just one person serving and he was clearly run off his feet so the service was a bit slow but we could watch the world passing by and we were not in a rush so it was not an issue. The service was friendly and the food and beer were great so recommended for any one in the Old Montreal area looking for a cafe.

Visited for lunch on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. We were seated upstairs, windows were open, nice breeze.
Service was painfully slow, to the point that we didn’t order dessert because we were afraid our already 1 hr and 45 min lunch would turn into a 3 hour affair.
French onion soup was very tasty. Soup du jour was broccoli, and our aunt said it was very good.
I ordered the ham, brie, and spinach crepe, which was good but not overly filling. We had two orders of the chicken supreme and the delice. A few in our party has never had crepes before, so I think they were underwhelmed.
I would have loved dessert but honestly, who knows how long that would have taken!

Creperie Chez Suzette had a great variety of savoury and sweet crepes as well as fondues. The crepes were delicious and reasonably filling compared to other crepes. The service was very good and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Great atmosphere! Felt like a sauna with the windows fogging and misting with condensation and steam due to the warm interior and cold Montreal night! This was my first time eating fondue. I came with friends on New Year's Eve. We wanted to enjoy dinner before celebrating in the old port. We were seated really quickly on the 3rd floor, so we got to enjoy the entire restaurant's atmosphere while making our way upstairs. The whole resto reminded me of a sauna eating experience!! You'll see if you go on a freezing cold night, like we did.
I would NOT recommend the Chinoise fondue, because it was very little - a few thin slices of meat (beef) in boiling water ("broth"). There was nothing special about this dish. It came with a few dry pieces of broccoli, mushrooms and pre-processed baby carrots. Nothing special or particularly enjoyable :(
The Cheese fondue was satisfying with only 1 portion of meat and pieces of white bread. along with a few small red grapes and pieces of green apple, for 2 people.
2 friends shared both of these dishes. After paying $26pp, we were full, but not completely satisfied after our meal. Fully satisfied with the cheese fondue (it's rich - be prepared!), and not at all with the meat fondue. The combo for $75 for 2 people would be too much food!

Atmosphere was very good as was the service. Crepe was very good however not so much the quiche Lorraine. The Quiche was the worst I have had in my life not only was it small for the price but it also lacked taste. The crust was rock like, thick and hard and 1/2 the quiche, not recommended.

We stopped in for a late lunch. Cafe / bistro atmosphere. We tried a couple crepes. The shrimp crepe was served with tiny shrimp and lobster sauce. The ham and cheese crepe was served with cold ham. Both were ok but nothing special. Service was good.

We visited Chez Suzette specifically so that our daughter could try a fondue dinner.
Our host made us feel most welcome. He helped us identify a suitable non-alcoholic cider for our daughter to try, and they were able to accommodate her as part of our two-person fondue dinner for a small extra fee. The three-course fondue was delightful, and the accompaniments and sauces were excellent. We added a vegetable platter to the cheese fondue, which we enjoyed even more than the bread.
We were already quite full by the time the chocolate fondue arrived, and this was also excellent, though too rich for our daughter.
The service was excellent, and we’d thoroughly recommend Chez Suzette for fondue and for families.
