I went there a few times and I really enjoyed it everytime! The staff is really friendly, the service is fast and the food is good. You eat for a small price so why not. It is a really good place to eat pupusas :) Go try it

My girlfriend and I come here regularly and get the trio with a pina colada. Great value at 21 dollars and we are always satisfied. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try something a bit different.

A friend and I decided to try Los Planes on Belanger. It was a Friday night. We seated ourselves and within a few minutes a server brought our French/Spanish menus. I questioned the cleanliness since a fly kept making its rounds although it looked clean. The beef quesadilla plate was delicious. The beef was perfectly seasoned and grilled and the... More

We went there for a end-of-summer lab lunch on Aug 25. We were 13 people. We were on the terrace, which is very nice. The service was great, very efficient and the waiter was friendly. We all tried pupusas, as was recommended by one of our students who knew the place. I had 2 bean and cheese and one pork.... More

I went here as part of a food tour and despite being skeptical it turned out to be my favorite place I ate at. It's a family owned hole in the wall place with decor that is nothing to write home about. It is however impeccably clean and the food.... Omg wow! So tasty, my friend had to stop me... More

This is a review of Los Planes Gourmet, located on Saint-Denis. This place is fantastic. We went on Saturday night. Their Pina Coladas are huge and so refreshing. The nachos appetizers are also a big portion. They were delicious and very filling, we were worried that we wouldn't be able to eat our main course. We ordered pupusas (their specialty)... More

Before trying Los Planes, my wife and I had never had a pupusa. So we are anything but experts and had nothing to compare it to. But we love the restaurant. The tortilla soup is excellent, the appetizer of yucca fries were crispy and delicious and we really enjoyed the various pupusas offered. They also serve a wonderful burrito. The... More

I tried this place again cause of a friend who wanted to go. And once again, the food is not very good. There is little or no cheese in the pupusas. And the quality of the ingredients is very low. The place itself needs a major renovation. Nothing appealing to this place!!! I had a cheese pupusa and a revuelta... More

We stopped here for a late dinner and from the outside, we weren't sure what to expect. Simply said, this was one of the most amazing Salvadorian meals we've ever had. The nachos were absolutely to die for. Our main meal (3 tacos, 2 pupusas, rice, mole and tortillas) was wonderful. The tacos were the best we've ever had!!! The... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
