This was a quick stop for a coffee. My cake was ok but not outstanding, a bit dry. The coffee was good. All the saucers were chipped.

A charming and cozy place that combines a coffee shop, groceries, and souvenirs. Lots of unique and eye-catching items. You need quite some time to go through all their offerings. Not all items have price tags, which I find somewhat odd. We bought great things...here like tea, croissants, local sausage, etc. The coffee was also excellent. Still, unfortunately, we got cheese that was expired by more than a month and was absolutely inedible with a strong ammonia smell and almost spicy taste, which we figured out the next day after leaving Montreal and that ruined the overall experience.More
We happened upon this cute cafe after visiting Notre Dame. Excellent strong espresso and coffee with a great eclectic atmosphere.
Cute little convenience store, snack store, lunch store, cafe, ice cream, and souvenirs shoppe. A few small tables to enjoy your treats. Lots of character, great staff
This was right by our hotel St. Sulpice. Delicious! And surprisingly uncrowded considering its location.
My partner and I went exploring Montreal at 8.45am looking for a breakfast/brunch cafe, but it was surprisingly hard to find one that wasn’t a casual diner or a franchised chain. Not sure if experienced “breakfast in Montreal” properly, but for better or worse, we...stumbled into La Petit Dep at ~11am. It’s a busy and homely cafe, adopting a free seating and self-serve concept. We tried a variety of snacks as they don’t have proper plated main dishes. Some of the snacks like the giant Oreo and scones looked great but were too sweet after a few bites and it was more fun to eat than tasty. The drinks we ordered (Café Latte and Matcha Latte) were standard-good as well. The only standout for us was the bacon and cheese wrapped sandwich - the flavourful cheese complemented the smoky bacon very well! The staff are nice and will offer to heat up your orders with a toaster oven if you require so. Overall a 3.8/5 for me; I would say it’s a relatively good cafe (given that I couldn’t find many others despite googling/using TripAdvisor hard for it) worth a quick snack or hot drink if you happen to be near the Montreal Notre-Dame area.More
One of my favorite places to stop in for a bite all year long. I usually get a sandwich and hot chocolate. My favorite is the roast beef. The salmon bagel are tasty but I find the bread hard. The grilled cheese has pickles which...I wish were tomatoes instead. I wish they add more choices. The Instagram setting is always brings a smile to me.More
I’m so pleased we stumbled across this cute, little café. The coffee is delicious and the pastries very tasty. The ambience was pleasant and relaxing. We visited a couple of times during our short stay in Montreal and if we lived closer we would definitely...be regulars!More
On a cold windy rainy night at 9PM, we were not able to find a place for a simple meal to take out. There seems to be only pub or fancy restaurant options in the area. Luckily we walked by this place with many drinks,...pastries and sandwich options. We enjoyed the sandwich, wrap, cookie, and drinks. Thank you for opening late (they close at 10 PM on the Friday we went) and the great food and drinks selection.More
Actually, my wife and I were there in February 2020 for a 25th wedding anniversary. Valentine's day weekend, and it was some of the coldest weather I've ever been in. Looking around to shelter from the cold, we stumbled on Le Petit dep across from...the cathedral. What a welcoming harbor. Some of the best espresso I've ever had. I do not know how they do it, but there is absolutely zero bitterness and a wonderful flavor. From the shop itself, service of the employees, foodstuffs and pastries to purchase, it is really a great little coffee shop. we bought ourselves a coffee cup to remind us of our great experience here. I promise you won't be disappointed.More
Incredibly charming, classy "convenience“ store with lots of gourmet chocolate, packaged food items, beverages, a small selection of retail goods, and a counter serving coffee drinks, fair pastries (scone, clafoutis, & blueberry tartlet were all a bit dry/bland). Very limited seating, very nice staff.
Beautifull!!!! We would come back every time we are in Montreal. Sandwiches are super fresh!! Coffee really good
Charming and cozy! Great coffee, very warm and inviting interior, lots of creative/different Knick-knacks/souvenirs to buy. Very cool little place.
Wonderful small cafe in the old part of Montréal, historic district. Near to hotel youville! French pastries and wonderful coffee, surrounded by quaint shops
I dropped in on Wednesday night to pick up a bite. Funky place. Great variety of various fine jams and jellies. Many veggie bagged snacks. Tasty salads. A great selection of sandwiches. Sweet treats galore. Drinks a-plenty. So glad I stumbled in.
