We showed up at Osco at 11:00 p.m. after a hockey game at Bell Centre. I figured the menu would be limited if there was one at all. The staff couldn't have been nicer when I said I was starved is there any food offered. They whipped me up a pasta dish not on the menu. The decor was nice... More

We started our fantastic experience at the Absynthe Bar, If you can sit by the bar and listen to some of the great stories the barman has to say, they by all means take the time and have a couple drinks! for sure he will provide you not only the drinks but a full experience! Everyone was so nice and... More

There was a feature running and the menu was very limited. My companion has dietary restrictions and could not find a single thing to eat. Fortunately, we were able to order off what they called "the snack menu" which was a far better than the other one, not sure why they made us request it specially. The prices were not... More

Dear Mister Steve C., Thank you for sharing your impression of the restaurant. We take good notes of your comments and we will definitely use them to improve our guests experience. Regarding your questionning on the limited choices on the menu, the reason is that there was a culinary festival in Montreal called "MTL à table" where we had to... More

I had a truly disrespectful and appalling experience at Osco last Saturday. Truly insulting. We made reservations for 10:00 pm as part of the MTLATable event. My friends arrived from Ottawa and I came from Laval. I confirmed with the restaurant our reservations the night before, and even tried to push it to 10:30, but the person on the phone... More

This place is in Intercontinental Hotel. Checked in late and needed dinner so was happy see it was open. The service was OK but the risotto was watery and there were 2 large tables with small children... Was not a problem as they were well mannered. Perhaps this is a family dining restaurant. Considering the wine 'cellar' display, I was... More

Dinner in hotel dining room two nights and both meals were fantastic. Great ambience although the first night a very loud coupled were chatting with another couple at another table and were somewhat distracting from our romantic meal. I had the duck which was delicious and very tender and chocolate mouse for dessert. As a starter we had olives with... More

We stayed at the Intercontinental and decided to try Osco one evening and we're pleasantly surprised. The service was terrific from the hostess to the waiters to the general staff. The setting is intimate and relaxing allowing for dinner conversation. Most important was the menu, innovative and tasty. We loved the fois gras and you can't go wrong with the... More

I'm from Montreal and a regular client of Osco. The menu is diversified, made with fresh and mostly local ingredients with french accent (of Provence). The service is always perfect and personalized. They have a huge beverage selection from beer, wine to absinthe. The price is very affordable for this quality. The dining room is polyvalent for an intimate couple... More

After reading some of the reviews of Osco, we were a little reluctant to try the restaurant, but we arrived in Montreal late so we ate a late dinner. The decor of the restaurant is good and it is designed to allow for intimacy during dining. Approximately 7 couples arrived all at the same time for a late dinner and... More

Description
Warmth, elegance and mouth-watering flavors are always on the menu at Osco! True to his Occitan roots, our Chef Matthieu Saunier offers a menu full of sunshine, including a succulent bouillabaisse, creamy risotto dishes and delicious grilled steaks. And of course, fine cuisine isn't complete without fine wine! The Osco! Wine cellar consists of around 700 hand-picked bottles, including a large assortment of enticing private imports and wines made in organic and biodynamic wineries.

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
