We decided to try this place when passing looking for a place for lunch. We were not disappointed! Our server, Tristan D, welcomed us warmly. Oddly we were seated between other busy tables, but we realised that many other tables were laid out for four people. The menu had plenty of choice. I was surprised the wine menu did not feature any Canadian wines.
We partook of the lunch fixed price menu: Tristan explained the soup and fish of the day which positively influenced our choices and we tucked in merrily.
The ambience was very nice, our water glasses were frequently topped up, and we enjoyed the dining experience delivered by Tristan.

This restaurant was mostly good, with some flaws. The ravioli with cream sauce (with truffle oil and speck) was fabulous. The short ribs with polenta was quite good but it wasn't hot enough - we waited forever for this dish, our main dish, and I have a feeling it was because the waiter dropped the ball and it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while which is why it wasn't hot enough. The bread, which was a foccacia, was warm and delicious. The music was too loud, which took away from the experience. So overall a good but not great experience.

We collaborated with Jacopo staff to host a group of 250 people and they welcomed us exquisitely. The ambiance was fun and festive, and our employees really enjoyed that it was at the heart of Old Montreal since many of them were fom out of town. The Jacopo staff helped make the flow easy and not congested, and everyone received their drinks and appetizers in a timely manner despite the large crowd.

Decided to try this restaurant out based on trip advisor reviews and taking a look at their menu.
My reservation was ready when I arrived and they were able to accommodate me in the outdoor patio. Service was friendly and reasonably attentive.
I ordered a Caesar Salad to start and decided to try their special of the day, a Lobster Risotto.
The Cesar salad was nothing too special, not a great presentation on the plate or anything, which was disappointing. Was kind like a rushed side salad you could get at any restaurant.
And then, unfortunately, my Lobster Risotto showed up while I was barely half done my salad. I rushed to finish my salad as I didn’t want the risotto to get too cold, but alas, since I was sitting outside, the risotto dish was rather cold on the perimeter by the time I got to it. I also had to wait to flag someone down to be able to get some fresh cheese and pepper on the risotto as well. Now, the dish itself tasted fantastic, and was well prepared and presented… so I was overall pleased with it… it just needed to come out at a more appropriate time.
So needless to say, that kind of error falls on the wait staff for not paying attention to where their tables are in their meal - and it shouldn’t be too complex to track for a table that is eating solo. It seemed clear to me the salad and risotto were both out in at the same time. It also makes the customer feel like their only goal is to turn the tables as quick as possible.

During our annual commercial conference, Quadra hosted 300 employees for a delightful cocktail party at Jacopo, followed by a sumptuous dinner at Vieux-Port Steakhouse.
At Jacopo, guests were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco and guided inside to discover incredible food and beverage stations. The offerings included exquisite charcuterie boards, fine cheeses, and creative cocktails, featuring a dedicated Spritz station. The ambiance was delightfully welcoming, and the staff were attentive and efficient, ensuring our group was well taken care of.
The event was a huge success, thanks to Zoe Pelletier and the entire Gray Group team, who meticulously attended to every detail, ensuring seamless coordination between both venues.

Jacopo is a must-see destination for lovers of Italian cuisine in Montreal. The pasta is homemade and it is a real treat, with flavors reminiscent of authentic Italy. The service is attentive, although sometimes a little long, but this remains largely compensated by the quality of the dishes. The atmosphere is elegant while remaining friendly, ideal for a one-on-one dinner or with friends. A beautiful discovery that I highly recommend for a culinary trip to the heart of Italy!

Got lunch here - ate outside. Lovely atmosphere, limited menu.
If you want many of the appetizers you can ONLY get them if you do the full prix fixe menu. No way around it. Felt a little bait and switch with the menu once we sat down.
Then- were told the kitchen was really busy so we may not be able to get the tuna cooked the way we ordered and we may not be able to add chicken to the salad. I get a busy kitchen but… felt off.
The waitress and host were lovely- and seemed used to apologizing for things.

We were looking to grab a quick lunch when we arrived in Montreal, somewhere close to our hotel. Jacopo had seating available on their terrace.
Pros: Good location with a terrace. Server was friendly. The rice ball was very good.
Cons: Food was mediocre. The grilled salmon was actually poached, but my husband said it tasted ok. The chicken madeira tasted as if it had been pre-cooked and reheated. They had a 25$ pre-fixe lunch which was to include an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. They were out of the biscotti and amaretti. When I asked if there was an alternate dessert, they offered the tiramisu which had an upcharge of 5$ so I ended up with only 2 courses. My husband’s “seasonal salad” was mostly raw peppers with a few spinach leaves.
The place is OK for a drink on the terrace but don’t expect much on the food.

During my recent visit to this restaurant for a private evening, we were lucky enough to be served by Ludovic, an exceptional waiter who was able to enhance our experience. From the beginning, his recommendations were perfect, including a remarkable red wine that he managed to find us among the last in the cellar. A real nugget! (The name of the wine is Carduus, and I strongly advise you.)
As for the dishes, we shared the Caesar salad, an absolute success, and salmon tataki with mango and unmissable pasta with truffles cooked in cheese. Every bite was a pure delight, and just thinking about it, I already want to go back.
Thank you very much, Ludovic, for your attention, your smiles and your excellent recommendations. I sincerely hope that during your visit you will have the chance to be served by this exceptional human being.

Very warm welcome from Dugan and Igor. We came in for a last minute lunch after my wife finished work, and although there was a tempting table d'hote, we opted for the a la carte menu. Food was very good, like the very crispy fried calamari, but we really enjoyed the service from Dugan. He seemed genuine and took good care of us. Great of tourists and if you want to sit on a terrace in a picturesque part of town.

Jacopo is conveniently located at Place Jacques Cartier in the Old Port with inviting decor and large outdoor patio. Delicious lamb pappardelle and tasty gnocchi alla Norma paired perfectly with a glass of Corvo Irmana. Our server, Laura, was friendly, engaging, attentive and helped make our experience very enjoyable as we celebrated a birthday. Service was quick and atmosphere very positive.

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Jacopo and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Seated at the inviting bar, I was warmly greeted by the exceptional bartender, Rodney, whose expertise and charm elevated the entire evening. From crafting impeccable cocktails to recommending the perfect dish, Rodney's attentiveness ensured that every moment was filled with delight. The atmosphere exuded a cozy sophistication, perfect for unwinding after a long day. As for the cuisine, each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and meticulously prepared. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a lively night out, Jacopo with Rodney behind the bar is the ultimate destination. I can't wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again.

Dalil is a great class server, attentive, respectful, professional and always attentive. At my meal, he even made sure that his colleagues didn’t speak too loudly, as the group was just behind me talking very loudly. Dalil quickly took charge of the situation, and I really appreciated this gesture, as it is crucial that the customer can enjoy his meal peacefully. Dalil is the best waiter I have ever met, and I weigh my words. He is the real key to Jacopo's success, NOBODY gets to his ankle! 5 ⭐️

A nice property very well located.
Nevertheless, reality is slightly out of step with the promise. Not that it is not good, but we expected better; especially for a total of $574.88, excluding tip, to 5 people.
To say that we ate badly would be to betray reality but it lacked taste.
The arancini were a little dry while the pork spaghetti were very (too) spicy. We could have been warned beforehand. Besides, I was the one who ate this dish because my wife couldn't. I ate them, but I admit that this dish burned the palate and spoiled the taste.
The most surprising was the pasta, announced at the Parmesan millstone. Except it was a pecorino millstone...
In the end, a disappointing meal.
Cleanliness: nothing wrong.
Service: friendly and correct.
In conclusion, I do not really advise.
