As my wife, who is Québécoise, kept saying: this is just like it was at Mémère's [Grandma's] restaurant. It is authentic, tasty, home-cooked Québécois food, served in wonderful, old-style, casual surroundings.

Went for breakfast. Hmmm good. Plentiful, enough to keep you going until dinner Had an omelette, with ground beef. An interesting combination. The home fried potatoes, delish, and the bread, yummy. Of course, there are the beans. Love them. Service efficient Atmosphere interesting Go! PS....More

Had two (2) thin slices of roast pork, extra-small side of mashed potatoes and a bowl of their baked beans and a Pepsi. The bill: $22.90 excl. tip! I assume typical breakfasts are a better buy!

Just had a fabulous breakfast at La Binerie. The people are so nice and service is great. The food delicious. Large portions. I enjoyed the egg and crepe. My daughter loved the eggs Bennie and my husband enjoyed the omelette. I'll be back.

We've been to many highly rated and expensive restaurants in Montreal, this was our absolute favorite hands down!!!!! It's truly amazing. Obviously you must get the beans, and I also recommend the black sausage, meat pie and sugar pie. The service is outstanding, the owner...More

Every time I go to Montréal, I make a bee-line (or should I say a "bean-line") to this wonderful establishment! The food is diner-fare -- all types of interesting dishes (and particularly desserts) that you won't find anywhere else but in Québec. And it's 100%...More

I will be dreaming about this breakfast for a while. Quintessential, heartfelt foods at a no fuss diner. The baked beans are their specialty, I would ship them home by the gallon if possible. The burnt buttered toast was heavenly, I savored every bite. The...More

We were told about Binerie by a bartender (West) at Brutopia. If you want a classic Quebecois breakfast in a cozy old-timey environment, this is where to go! soooo good. I love Montreal! Will definitely return in the summer!!
