If there's a baseball or hockey game on and you want to see it, this is the go to place. It's downtown, it has a lot of TVs, and it has great food and beverages. The service is ok and the food is actually extremely good for this type of pub. Will definitely go again if the Jays are playing... More

I came during jazz fest and it was an ok stop on my stroll. The bar tender was ok, not as attentive though. It was kind of empty so I guess she felt relaxed. Talked to her friend at the bar majority of the time I was there. Ordered wings which were ok but kind of small. She wouldn't make... More

Me and friends were her prior to a night out and were disappointed. The wait wasn't bad but it was longer than we expected seeing as the restaurant was about half full. Once our waitress came and hastily took our orders, the food was served quickly. The problem was: she forgot to bring one of my friend's drinks and we... More

This bar was close to our hotel so we decided to check it out after checking in. Quickly became our go-to spot for the weekend. Staff was friendly and considerate. Food was good. Never waited long for a drink. Reserved seating for Superbowl, everything was set-up as requested and the party was great. Lots of TVs, sound was good- like... More

Went here with my girlfriend and a few buddies and we had a great time. Food was quite good, drinks were decently priced. Really loved the vibe while watching the Canadians play. It also had slots and a claw machine for lobsters. If you caught one they cook it for you free of charge. All in all a good place... More

Unable to get to Bell Center for the Canadiens game, we piled into this sports bar near our hotel. Promptly seated in front of a huge screen, we enjoyed great beer and good food at a reasonable price. Friendly, efficient service, the only disappointment being (another) Habs defeat. P.S. There was an 'interesting' lobster crane game!

We went here for dinner and were blatantly ignored for about 10 minutes upon arrival. A server finally came and we got our food which was sub par. We then waited for about 25 minutes for our bill while we watched our server talk to what looked like regular guests, colleagues and also check her phone. We even asked another... More

Went to MVP to watch the women's World Cup. The owner Pete was awesome. There were 7 of us and he told us that there was a coupon in the map we had that would deduct $5 from our bill. I told him that we had already paid for our meal and he said don't worry and gave us a... More

I will there on a Sunday afternoon, sit on the patio and wait 8 minutes. A girl who was serving was passing by and not even looking at me. The patio was half full. After a while I say: 'Hi!!' and she ignore me. After the 8 minutes I went inside and I spoke with an employee at the entrance... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
