The food was good for a hotel restaurant, but like most hotel restaurants a little pricey. Staff seemed a little scattered though. May have just been an off day.

The waiters and waitresses were friendly and helpful. I ordered the salad on their menu. It was clearly stated on the menu that the salad came with some avocado. When the waiter delivered the salad to our table, I noticed that there was no avocado. I asked the waiter why. He went into the kitchen, came back, and reported back... More

We had just arrived at the Marriott Montreal Chateau Champlain and it was cold and rainy, so we ate here at the hotel restaurant. The food wasn't bad, I.e., about average - not fantastic. There was only one waitress for the whole place and she took her sweet time serving us. My wife and I had the grilled salmon, which... More

The bar and restaurant are lovely, a great setting to relax, the staff is helpful and friendly. However, the food is just about average. For me, it was a bit below. Our dishes were oily and bland. The prices way to high for what you get. Best to go to nearby and enjoy something better.

Having a great time in Montreal and had great food except for tonight. The worse service and food ever. Had to ask the waiter 4 times for a water refill. Asked for steak sauce and never got it. The Filet Mignon was the worse piece of steak I've had for $40 EVER! Would never go there again but was tired... More

Great staff, great room (good view, quiet, clean. Gave it a 4 because the staff were just great. My 4 year old and I stayed overnight, went to breakfast, although the breakfast was not that good, a bit oily.

The breakfast Buffet is amazing. Many choices and very well presented. Service is amazing as well! I have a child with allergies and it is great to be able to have the choices of several items.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
