We went relatively early at 6pm on a Friday and the restaurant still had a nice lively atmosphere but was not crowded. We had the $23 prix fixe menu and one of us had the calamari appetizer for an extra $5. The calamari and risotto ball were very good and generous portions. The pizza was delicious and had a good... We went on a recommendation, overall this is lively bar/pizzeria which seemed to cater to a younger crowd with the $23 prix fixe menu; we were looking for an al a carte menu with a better wine selection, but we stayed and had a pleasant meal for less than $130 inc tip. Food was good, again nothing spectacular, quite a... More

average pizza but excellent service. The pizza is OK but never as good as Pizza 900. If you're looking for a great night out its the place to be , if you are looking for the best pizza in Montreal I would suggest you to go to pizza900.

Two big deceptions: 1) I called for reservation and told them it was for an Anniversary, I asked them if we could dance. They answer me "yes", but nobody was dancing, and no place to dance. 2) We wanted to choose what to eat on the regular menu, but it was not possible. Only the menu at 23$ was available... More

The pizza here is excellent. The place is a Resto bar which means loud music plays also it's not really a place to bring your date for a quiet evening but if you are looking for an upbeat vibe this is a great place to go after a day of sightseeing. The staff is super friendly and the servers are... More

The service is very nice and the starters are ok, but as an Italian I would not recommend this place. The arancini and the polpette, the starters we chose, were tasty and I liked the original idea of leaving ragu sauce outside the arancino. Still, the main courses were unsatisfactory: if gnocchi and porcini risotto were ok (albeit not extremely... More

The hubby and I went to Bevo under the "Happening Gourmand" festival. A three course meal for only 23$. For that price, BEVO is pretty darn good. The hubby had the meatballs as an entree and I had the tomatoes with mozzarella. Hubby said the meatballs were really good. He raved about the marinara sauce so I had a taste... More

Visited Old Montreal on a weekday and was looking for a place to chill and have a light bite. Bevo was a great choice. Inviting, roomy, chilled, friendly service-very accommodating with food drinks and WIFI access. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Busy Friday night, thank goodness we had dinner reservations. All the kids enjoyed their fried calamari and personal pizza's. The adult menu had a great selection of appetizers, entries and desserts for $23 per adult. Service was slow but the waitress was very nice and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant, hopefully it's not busy .

One of the best options in Montreal hands down. I am so pleased this restaurant was recommended to us from our hotel. From drinks, to the food, to the atmosphere.

A favorite among Old Montreal diners, BEVO Bar + Pizzeria boasts fine Italian cooking, original cocktails and a fresh ambiance nightly. Seven days a week, Chef Giovanni Vella cooks up traditional flavours with a few signature twists. His specialty: authentic, wood-fired pizzas. Two expansive floors, a fully-stocked bar, convenient seating and a DJ every Thursday through Saturday keep things lively until the wee early hours. And during summer, take advantage of its terrace, which sits right on Saint-Vincent Street-a pedestrian stretch bustling with friendly locals and artists.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
