My boyfriend and I got take-out from here and were very disappointed. He got the bucatini cacio e pepe and I got the papperdelle con manzo. His had no flavor and mine was decent but definitely not as good as I had thought it would...be. Definitely a disappointment for sure.More

Been coming here for a while and I must say I’ve never been disappointed. The buratta is one of my favourites as well as their surprise meat dish of the night. Tonight their rack of veal was outstanding

Recently went after a while away. Always feels like your friendly neighborhood resto In a quaint corner in the old port. Food is always consistent and delicious. Mario, (the owner) always welcoming and attentive. Dont forget to give the cook in the kitchen a kiss....A little special attention doesnt hurt anyone. Thanks for a great night guys.More

Truly a nice experience. I had the buratta which they import fresh weekly from Italy and the most divine cavatelli since my grandma’s. Can’t wait to return

Nice to see that old style grandma’s cooking is alive and well in Montreal. Truly authentic. Friendly owners and staff. Meatballs are the real deal. The gnocchi were astounding and my bucatini Cacio e Pepe was mouth watering. Excellent job guys

Had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant 5 years ago & forgot the name. In Montreal this past weekend looking for a well rated Italian restaurant on this site & came across this. Didn’t realize until we walked through the door it was the...same restaurant we had visited before. Had a very attentive & friendly waiter named Steve. Started with the zucchini & eggplant parmigiana. Both were excellent! I’ve never had zucchini so light & thin & fried perfectly. Dipping sauce was tomato based & delicious. The eggplant was melt in your mouth perfection. Portion sizes for both appetizers were quite big & nice to share. My husband had veal scallopini as his main course and I had the stuffed chicken breast. Both were cooked perfectly, flavourful & accompanied with vegetables - potatoes, peppers, carrots & zucchini. We were too full for dessert but enjoyed a lovely limoncello aperitif. The wine selection was very good as well. We shared a light California Cab which went well with our meals. Had some nice conversation with our waiter - he explained everything is madd fresh daily & they adhere to strict Italian customs - no cheese on fish, etc. Overall we had a wonderful second visit to this restaurant & will definitely return the next time we come to Montreal.More

It was sad. From the beginning. The manager in charge of the reception and the dinning room gave too much importance to himself, delighted to hear himself but not listening to us, at all. The waiters were running in all directions, constantly, making mistakes and...serving everything with great delay. The food was ok, but the experience was stressful and unpleasant. Far away from what you expect when you go out to dinner with your husband.More

I have only been in the area 2 months. We moved from Edmonton and just happened to try this restaurant out. Worth best on the tomato sauce which is all natural and homemade. Diner was amazing and service was attentive. I highly recommend.
