Amazing spot! Visited from Ottawa and was very impressed! Excellent tahdig, koobideh, joojeh and ghormeh sabzi. I highly recommend this restaurant. The best tea too!

Our go-to place when we have travellers coming into Montreal for their first night and too tired to go out. Menu has been the same since it opened and predictable but always good. Love the rice. Much frequented by customers of Iranian background; all ages and at times whole families, including take-out. No alcohol served and no credit cards but reasonably priced food.

We wandered into this resto on a cold, dark, Tuesday night. The outside appearance of this restaurant was AWFUL! The windows were filthy, there were very few lights, and once inside, the tablecloths needed a wash! All that said, the dinner special of a hardy traditional soup, a complimentary potato salad, and the kabab dish, were delicious and generous. The service was warm, and the place was full. The special was very affordable. Don't be put off by the appearance of this resto, and concentrate on enjoying the delicious, and reasonably priced food. Hopefully, the owners will read this review and spruce up the establishment, so that the outside, reflects the great cuisine.

Used to be one of the best iranian restaurant in Montreal. Quality gone down by a lot. Testes everything on the menu and they were all below average. Lack of taste, spice and just not good. They even can't get the rice right anymore.

Great place for Persian food! One of the best in Montreal. Can't go wrong with any of their kabobs and highly recommend trying the soup at the beginning. All the items on the menu are very reasonably priced as well.

I went here with a friend for dinner where we ordered the trio plate for two. Omg so much food! This dish had a bIt of everything that included chicken, file mignon & minced beef kebabs. Before this, I actually started off with a delicious eggplant dip (Mirza Ghasemi) followed by a hearty bowl of lentil, chick peas & kidney bean soup with noodles (Ash). The waitress was very pleasant & efficient throughout the evening . Of course it didn't hurt that my friend spoke Farsi. I even tried a yogurt soda drink which as I discovered, seemed to be...an acquired taste. In the end, we were quite satisfied & just couldn't eat anymore, even though a lot was left. In this regard, the restaurant was very nice about giving us a doggy bag. There's no doubt, that you get good value here! Finally, the location of Maison de Kebab is quite convenient since it's easily accessible by Metro (with Lionel-Groulx being only 1 block away) & isn't too far from the bike path near Atwater Market.

For a reasonable price you are getting good food. It is a simple and not expensive place. If you are looking for something on a budget but do not want to eat fast food, La Mason de Kebeb is a good choice! Unfortunately, they do not serve alcohol but you can try ayran - milk based sparkling drink. It goes perfectly with kebabs :)

They don't take interac and there's no ATM machine so please bring cash. The place is small, cozy and cute. The rice was bland however the soup entree and the meats were good. It wasn't my best dining experience.

One afternoon my party of 5 decided to go as the previous times I have never been disappointed. We wanted delicious food, affordable and in a cozy environment. Thank goodness we arrived there when we did because the restaurant is small and fills up quickly. We ordered two Hunter's Platters which was way more than enough for the 5 of us. Each platter is meant to be shared because there is no way one person can finish it ( I really think 2 can share and be extremely full, so 3 would be comfortable) comes with three different kinds of meat: grilled chicken, filet mignon and another meat ( can't remember). It also comes with rice and 2 soups or platter. There is also the choice dipping sauces (appetizers) to eat with the pita bread and/or rice. The soups and dipping sauces came quickly to eat with the pita bread, served by a lovely waitress. The main dish came out soon after, was hot, and fresh, served with rice. I have been here a few times and have always experienced the same quality of food and service. You will not be disappointed. It looks like a family run business, cozy and small, nothing pretentious or loud. There is a small tv with an Asian channel on in the background and decor that isn't too too fancy but does showcase some culture. If you want a solid place to eat some delicious food, no frills and great service, you won't be disappointed.

The kebabs were VERY good and the portions were generous. Price was very reasonable, if you're not super hungry one main would be enough for two. Service could have been better though.

It was a great pleasure to try this restaurant. It is a real restaurant, not a fast-food and the Persian food was delicious. Really happy having discovered this restaurant.

Very delicious Persian food, very nice staff (the girl, I think her name is Merian, is very friendly). Its specialty is kebabs. They also have tasty Ash Reshteh soup, and variety of appetizers (didn't try them). It's a small restaurant but there was room for me. I ordered Sultani, it was very delicious.

Small little restaurant with a big taste in food. We had a sampler menu of the Kebobs and chicken and it was scuptious.

This is a great place to try and eat Persian food in Montreal. I loved the koobideh kabab and baghalee polo. The price is really low. I feel bad that I forgot to tip :( Will go again next time I'm in Montreal and make up for it.

Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialised Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
