The food choices are great with a wide range of imported beers and wines. The menu caters to all type of clients, from fish to poultry and red meat. The bar is amazing, a great place for tapas and after work cocktails.

I personally can recommend the pulled pork sandwich. It is excellent and delicious. We were four people having lunch and all had something different. All dishes were prepare with great care and all were delicious. I could can have come up with a better place to have lunch.

We went there 3 months ago and we found it a little disappointing overall. Food was good but overprice vs quality and execution. Ambiance , location and décor was very nice and trendy. But the service was the low point starting from the non existing welcoming when we got in. It looked like they where in over their heads and... More

Great place, awesome staff and the food was top notch. Stopped in twice - once for a quick bite (charcuterie board and a few glasses or red) and the second time for brunch with family. Everything was great, will recommend you! Thank you!

We made a Christmas Day reservation at Hambar. This was mainly for my SO, as he loves snout-to-tail cooking. There was one veg dish on the menu, so I was set. The restaurant does have a cool vibe to it, not hotel-restaurant-y at all. Our server, while attentive, was a little distracted and little things were missed (like not bringing... More

Went with my daughter on Friday night for the Montreal A Table event. While the food was ok (except for the deserts), the service was really bad. Our server had difficulties recommending a good wine and brought us the most expensive one that he could find on the list... Once we finished our St-Emilion, we requested the wine list and... More

It's a lovely place to chill, good atmosphere, the bartenders are friendly, the food is good, the ham goes well with the wine.

We just "happened" upon this place while strolling around old Montreal. The hanging" prosciutto caught our attention. The smoked trout plate was beautifully presented. The trout was delicious but there was some kind of rolled pieces of another fish as decorations that didn't fit. I ignored the others, enjoyed the trout instead, very nice. One of us had the beef... Went for my first time last week. Food was good but service was very slow, especially getting the bill at the end.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
