We went here for dinner on a recommendation. Not for the vegetarian. Superb food, fantastic friendly waiters and great ambience. I think better for dinner than lunch. Couldn't rate it high enough.

Great food, well presented, original, good service. In the summer, eat on the terrace. Great place for Tartare and fries! Or Duck!

Loved this place! Stopped in for a quick snack and coffee and was not disappointed. Delicious americanos, a selection of homemade donuts and perogies! Everything was tasty and fresh. The cafe is super cozy and filled with students getting their work done. Definitely eclectic in terms of decor. Amazing service!

Cult place for funky bagels and in general affordable café! Visited them in the beginning of summer and they had some guests from Fridge Montreal. A unique experience to enjoy your bagel with coffee while you watch two ladies stage an amusing show about what they would advice to other ladies...

Really genuine bagels with cream cheese and some dark roasted coffee! When you prefer to have light breakfast, this hits the spot. One amazing thing about Boris and probably the reason why this place is always packed is the staff! Friendly and easy going...

Was there on a Tuesday afternoon. Nothing special. The place is rather dirty. Maybe their doughnuts are good, who knows. My latte had a strange taste. No, I am not going back. The barista was nice though.

Noticed the place few times I was going next door to Mademoiselle and decided to try it. Fun Hippy Atmosphere and some quality coffee and bagel from fresh ingredients.

The donuts are amazing and always fresh. This shop is so amazing, the crowd is young and fun. They have a couple of seat/benches outside which is perfect during La belle saison. You can go through a bag of 6 donuts before you even know it! I go there often and i always get the same taste, same feeling of... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
