The mana'eesh were good. The service decent. The AC too high though on a colder day. We liked it and the area in general, would recommend.

Terrific selection of eat-in or take out. I particularly like their baba ganoush, hummus and wide variety of salads available, but the hot meals are to die for and the sandwiches are great too. The atmosphere is always laid back and the place is bustling...on any given day with a steady traffic of locals picking up extra side dishes or take-home meals. Great place to hang out in as a cafe and people watch but not many tables in the place for dining in, so those looking for more of a sit down restaurant may want to go elsewhere, at least until the place expands. Think deli-style café meets fresh Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine :)More
Just walking down Mount-Royal and was intrigued by this place, lot's of people, so we went in, started talking to the patrons and came out with lunch. If you love an all dressed pita, you will enjoy this restaurant. Nothing complicated, we took the spinach.../ feta pita bread with a choice of vegetables. Nice, fresh as they say all is made on site. It's a small hole in the wall, but very cool. It was my first time but not my last. Great service as I asked a lot of questions on what was good, they were very patient. Enjoy.More
We wanted something local and different for lunch. I had found it through TripAdvisor and we made the trip across town to try it. The nice young man behind the counter was so helpful telling us about everything and making suggestions. I opted to try...the $1 items with 2 salads and my boys got the wraps. We had a little hiccup when their machine would not take our US credit card, so they told us there was a bank machine down the street. While my husband ran down the street, they let my son and sit down with our food. When he got back, we sat down and had our delicious food, even my picky 15 year old was happy.. Everything was so good! Definitely worth the trip over. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great!More
I've had the food, it's great! But they use so much disposable plastic. In an effort to be less wasteful, I like to bring my containers to places like this and they fill up my own containers with their food. It's great! I spoke to...the owner about bringing my own containers and he said it's not possible. They fill up in wasteful plastic early in the morning. He wouldn't budge. Just didn't seem at all interested in being less wasteful. It was sad. I won't be going there anymore.More
I have loved this place since it opened, and it's a great find in the area. I will usually get some tabbouleh to go, olives, little balls of labneh cheese in olive oil and herbs, kibbe (LOVE these!) with an Ayran (salted yogurt water, ice...cold, great for hangovers) and pita chips. This is either a lunch with leftovers for work (recycle the containers), or something to bring to a friend's house with a bottle of wine for munchies--or if you have a main dish and want to set out 3-4-5 Lebanese-inspired mezze, hors d'oeuvres for a dinner party. Their food has nice little touches, like lemon, sumac, fennel seed, dill, and it's not strictly Lebanese in origin, I don't think: they have some lamahjoun or Armenian pizzas too. (Apologies to the owners and purists if I got any of this wrong--I LOVE the food!) Basically if you spend 20-30$ you can get a generous tasty spread of mini-bites, treat yourself, or impress friends, and there's 2 SAQs in the neighbourhood in case you need a bottle of rose or some arak to go with it. Counter-culture décor, cute friendly staff, but the food remains the stand-out. It's not fancy if you want to eat there, but it's clean and well-loved.More
We were looking for a quick bite for lunch on our way to the mountain. I spotted this place almost by accident. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was going to be good. The girl in the store was very helpful (in...English as well as French) and we had a zaatar & cheese Lebanese pizza, and one with Kechk (plenty of vegetarian options, by the way). The last one we had never tried before, and we can thoroughly recommend each of them, they were delicious. My only regret is that it was my last day in Montréal, for I would've loved to come more often to sample more of their menu. According to my friend, they also sell a specific type of very bitter green olive that he loves and cannot really find anywhere in Canada.More
This place was so good we went two days in a row. They had so many interesting things but what caught our eye were all the varieties of round flatbread - you pick one and they load it up with veges or whatever you want...then it is warmed and bread gets a lovely crunchy outside. Great prices too for large delicious sanwiches. We were unsure how to order and the employees took great care of us walking is through the options. They also have packs of flatbread to go, salads, fresh soft packs of pita bread among other things. If I lived anywhere near I'd want to try everything!! So scrumptious!! I don't think they take credit cards.More
We saw the TV show then went to visit. The food is very tasty, we had several different tyoes of Pizza, the chicken and fish dishes and some tiny rolls. Overall experience was ok, thank you!
Great place to grab a bunch of mezze -- perfect for a picnic in the park. Don't miss out on the zaatar sandwich, the halloumi salad & the braised chicken dish with rice. **Hummus and labneh are amazing as well
Every time I come to Montreal I must go there, excellent food. My favourite is the Shiekh and Manoushe bi Zaatar.
We bumped into this delicious restaurant on a holiday Monday. Wow. Fresh fish beautifully done, comforting chicken for my second friend, and I had a beautifully simple lentil and rice dish. We all fell in love with the tabbouleh avocado salad. You choose and pay...for your food at the counter - there really is something for everyone and it all tastes fresh. Will deliberately go back when I return to Montreal.More
Got water and a zataar wrap with a nice selection of veggies inside for just over 5 dollars :) and there are so many options, I really wish I loved in montreal so I could try ALL the options!!!
an excellent selection of freshly made lebanese delights.prepared with care and perfectly seasoned.the staff is most helpful and courteous.
Trip de Bouffe serves excellent Near Eastern food. They have everything from humous to lachmacun, and the food is always tasty, fresh, and a great alternative to the many chain restaurants you can find in Montreal. I recommend that you ask them for a lachmacun...and have them stuff it with lots of vegetables. The prices are very reasonable. Sometime when I'm busy, I'll buy everything I need for a few day's worth of meals there. The people who work there are great and always make the visit fun. They also have whole-grain pita, many cheeses, like halloumi, and some bulk food as well. I definitely recommend it for take-out or even for a quick meal at one of their tables.More
