Courteous employees serve meals that do not taste fast food. Everything is prepared with attention and always fresh. Coffee is delicious, And don't leave without tasting some of their breads and pastries.

I have eaten a lot of "baguettes" in my time...from Montreal and all the way to Europe...and for my taste this place has one of the best that i have ever had the chance to eat..a crunchy crust that crunches under your teeth to a soft center that has the taste of real heaven...you can taste the passion that the... I went there for coffee and a pastry, and like most places in the world now, felt that the products used in the confection of the goods were generic, therefore giving everything a generic taste... the croissant was on the dry side and coffee was burnt... like the coffee served in Paris usually is.

I love the croissant parisian style and also the variety of soup they serve... Last time I tried a croissant with ham and cheese... It was I think the best I ever had... at least that I could remember...In front ( on beaubien street) there is an ice cream store that is absolutely delicious called la glacerie.... And not far... Since we got a rental car, we drove there based on the reviews. Must try their sandwiches, we had chicken, salmon and scrimp, I really wish to get everything to take home. Bring cash, I was embarrassed when the ATM did not go through, had to go get the cash and return. Service was great as well.

From the croissant with ham ,swiss cheese , and perfectly poached eggs to the ,rillettes, baguettes, bread, and did I say croissants? My cousin was born in France, now lives in Montreal and she says these croissants are better than those she had in France...this place is amazing-I would be here everyday if I lived in this neighborhood. Do bring... More

I was pointed to this "Boulangerie" (Bread shop) by friends of mine and no doubt ... this is one of the top places in Montreal ... They have a huge choice of bread (close to 70 different choices) and a multitude of pastries (croissants !!!) ... This is the perfect place on a bright week-end morning. They have as well... More

De Froment et de Seves, this is a story of passion.
We opened in May 1995 with one goal: to propose artisanal bread, homemade pastries and cakes to the local people.
This is a truly success story for this concept based on homemade food, and the bakery has been extended two times because of its popularity. Our clients are able to taste and discover our products from Quebec, like the wide variety of cheese, meet and ready-prepared dishes.
With your friends or your family, De Froment et de Seve will be pleased to welcome you in an intimate atmosphere, for breakfast, lunch or tea-time with a delicious pastry.

All breads, pastries, and cakes are prepared with the respect of the traditional way of making homemade food. De Froment et de Seve has also a wide range of coffee to come with your dishes.
Our bakers, pastry chef, and cook work day and night to provide your the best tasting experience and they adapt their creativity with the season.

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
