This little restaurant appears to serve authenti Thai food. It is an unpretentious family owned friendly place. The service was a bit slow. The papaya salad was very hot but good. The red beef curry very mild and coconuty . The mango and sticky rice dessert...was very good , the banana fritters could have been better and they could choose a better tasting vanilla ice cream. Very inexpensive. Overall the dining experience was very good.More

Good local restaurant. Menu is pretty extensive. Place is small but always has lots of traffic. Good food, good price. 25 percent off menu when you buy 1 meal on select nights is a good value. Even better bring your own wine.

For haven been to Thailand recently, and taken thai cooking lessons, I have a good idea of what "real" this food should taste like. Went for lunch here yesterday after a few attemps. It was closed until Feb 8th, then I went between 14 and...16 when they are apparently closed , but not everyday because yesterday a lot of people came during those hours and were welcomed... I guess it a hit and miss. I was told it all depended on the chef. Small place, only a few tables and they don't take reservations so , 1st come, 1st served, So I recommend to get there early or late. The food, I had the coco chicken soup, although it was good and had the traditional lime leaf and galanga in it, It was lacking something,,, the spring rolls , was excellent, and I took the #20 ( chicken plate) that was also good but not out of this world good. I was expecting much more. I will return to sample more variety of food. I would describe this as "western" version of Thai food. Even though I asked for them to add a little spice (the small red peppers that they try to kill you with in Thailand :)) It still was not spicy at all... Oh well I was expecting much more after reading good newspaper review about this placeMore

This is a little gem. A family runThai restaurant which is quite difficult to find with all this food chains. I had a pad krapow and it was delicious, I ask for very hot as it should be and it was just perfect. Highly recommended...for Thai food lovers.More

Stopped in for some takeout. It appears to be a smal family-run restaurant. The service was very quick and the food was great. The shrimp pad thai was very tasty and the mango sticky rice was perfect. Only unfotunate thing is that they only take...cash.More

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Thai Sep when we arrived in Montreal. I had Pai Gra Pow chicken and my partner shrimp pad thai.

I had the Tom Kha Gai which was tasty but unremarkable. It was not as rich and complex as many versions. The chicken was also lacking in the soup. This was followed by my first Laab/Larb. I had the beef version and loved the fresh...herbs in the salad. But the laab was very salty. This restaurant is small and comfortable but like the food was a bit unremarkable.More

Thai Sep is a small neighbourhood establishment that is family-run, serves great food and is a bring-your-own wine. Tuesday evening is a real bargain for you get 50% off for the second main dish. Food is very delicious; I had the wonton soup and seafood...bird's nest while my friend had the same soup and the grilled salmon dish all for $35 taxes included. Worth a return visit.More

My wife and I love this place! It's BYOB! Tuesday nights you order your second main dish at 50% off! The food totally rocks! The red curry beef (and chicken) are must-haves every time we go. Mango salad of the gods! If more people go,...Montreal would be an even happier place. That, and maybe they can get a bit more staff so the wait would be shorter. It's not long now ... it's just ... it's very hard to wait even a little with all those awesome scents, aromas around you.More
