We hadn't dined at a Korean restaurant since a place we often frequented closed down in our home town about 30 years ago. We were staying at the Auberge next door and rather than looking for someplace else decided to try this place. We are...not very adventurous diners, sad to say, so we chose meals that we presumed would meet our sensitive palates... which means we didn't try Korean BBQ which, judging from diners nearby, seemed to be the house specialty. Instead, we opted for a couple of the soups on the menu. They were very good indeed and reminded me of Vietnamese pho. We were the only Caucasians in the restaurant which was about 1/2 full on a Monday night... all the other diners appeared to be Korean and just as we were about to leave, a busload of Korean tourists entered the established and were directed to a back room for what I'm sure would be a special feast. I always assume that if ethnic natives dine at a restaurant serving their style of food, it must be good. At least it was for us and at a price that was more than reasonable.More

This restaurant is in NDG,and worth the ride over .The service was fast and courteous and a good explanation on the shabu shabu or all you can eat Korean BBQ.It was lunchtime so we chose the shabu shabu, which was perfect. The right amount of meat and...vegetables with a couple of sides and sauces, had to get extra Kimchi very tasty. Will definitely be going back often.More

I was staying in the motel next door and read good reviews of Shabu Shabu, so I wanted to give it a try. For lunch I had bibimbap and it was quite good. The atmosphere was modern and nice, service was fast, the prices were...reasonable. At the end of my meal I waited for my check but they didn't bring it. You pay the cashier at the desk.More

This place is one of my fav restos... I always take the beef with the spicy broth. Shabu Sahabu is a little similar to hot pot, but flavors are less strong and beef has better quality... The place is nice and clean and the cold...coffe is delicious too!More

All the food except beef is set up like a buffet for you to choose. For beef and galbi you have to ask a waiter/waitress to bring out from the kitchen. Each time you cannot order more than the number of people at your table....They only let you order again when you finished eating up your beef. But there's a lot to choose from the buffet stand; fried chicken, pork galbi, pork belly, vegetables, spring rolls, soup, Korean pancakes, etc. You get to have a dolsot (hot stone pot) bibimpa afterwards, one for two persons. The timeframe for all-you-can-eat is limited to two hours.More

I loved the soup, the wings and the assortment of appetizers. This was my first experience at Korean BBQ Fusion, and the waiter was very helpful at helping me through the many choices on the menu. I Loved the food and I hope I can...come back some day.More

Lunch special is good for what you get. Concept and flavor is good. Dinners are expensive. Wish there is more meat but the sauce and home made side dishes are good.

I've been going to Shabu Shabu for about three years now and have been disappointed recently by the declining quality of their all-you-can-eat korean BBQ. The marinated beef has always been a good choice and still is really tasty and well seasoned. However, I've never...been fan of the pork belly as it wasn't really marinated or had anything special. This hasn't been an issue in the past but at my last visit, we were served a huge plate of unfrozen, tasteless pork belly that consisted mainly of fat that didn't even add anything to the taste of the pork. We also received much more than expected - easily twice the quantity compared to a plate of beef. Since we're not allowed to waste food, this was a regrettable experience overall. The bibimbap and side dishes were good as usual however. The service has always been hit-or-miss. I think the waiters are very busy at the restaurant since there are not many. You have to hit the button at the end of the table to call this, which is very convenient. In the past, I had to hit the button once or twice to have someone come at the table but lately, we could try three or four times and get no one after several minutes -- still, most of the time, someone will come promptly. The à-la-carte menu still is reasonable but pretty good in my experience. I will definitely come back if I want a simple korean meal. However the all-you-can-eat korean bbq has been disappointing lately and given the competition, either better restaurants or places closer downtown, it's hard to recommend to drive all the way there, especially for the price and service. The free karaoke provides better value but strictly for the BBQ, I would recommend you take separate items out of the menu instead.More

Wanted to expose my son to Korean BBQ. Went there for lunch today. Tried the all-you-can-eat BBQ for $26 each Came with marinated beef, pork belly and bibimbap. Very flavorful but I think the marinated pork belly would have been better. Our only issue was...the slow service when trying to get the only server to come back to our table. The place must be authentic as the majority of the clientele was Korean and a Korean tour bus pulled up as we were leaving.More

My young daughter went there few times and suggested us to go there for dinner with our friends. It was re-renovated and looks nicer than before. The service of all the waitors were to our satisfaction and the quality and the portion of the beef...was good, plus we have 10% discount coupon which was printed from their website. There was only an unpleasant incident while my girlfriend paid the bill. She asked where was the button of % and $ tip, The lady, I think she was the owner who took the machine and then returned to her. That lady only told her the tip was already included and my girlfriend only needed to put the pin. She found out that lady put 15% after tax without my girlfriend's content. My girlfriend was not that happy and the owner's English was not good enough and asked one of the waitor to come. Then my girlfriend explained to him and finally the owner returned $5 something to her unwillingly with no sorry at all. We have totally 7 person there. To my opinion, they should let the customer to decide how much tip they are willing to pay and not enforce it !More
