We had our Board dinner here on a Friday night. At first, I thought it would be a disaster bc of the stairs to get down to the restaurant, but it was good. The staff helped one of our members who could not go by...More

This restaurant was recommended by friends and thought it was generally ok. My husband ordered the duck and I got the walleye and we both got the organic mesclun/salad. The salad had a delicious dressing. My husband's duck was a bit tough, like other reviewers...More

This was our second visit, but the first time in several years. We had the tasting menu, and were not disappointed. I enjoyed the opportunity to try some local Quebec ingredients and wines, and appreciated our knowledgeable server.

With many recommendations we chose Chez L'Epicier for a night of fine dining in the old port. The decor and the ambiance in the restaurant is lovely. We made a reservation weeks in advance and had no trouble with getting in and seated. There were...More

I had been wanting to try this place for the longest time. Unfortunately not quite as good as expected. The Vychissoise was really good. Where it fell short was the canard confit. Meat is supposed to detach easily of the bone and it was not...More

Nice restaurant. Staff attentive but very slow service. Food tasty and cutting edge. Menu somewhat limited but good. Pricey they were not that busy when we were dining there on a Monday but folks who arrived after us were served before us? With a visit...More

Really enjoyed the novel and flavorful combinations and contrasts in the dinner. April is a challenging time for sourcing vegetables locally, but they found good ones and used them in interesting ways. I will not be trying to reproduce any of the dishes at home,...More

Casual, no dress code. But it does not hurt to dress more elegantly!
