One can't say the food is gastronomical. The food is ok to good. The show around it is entertaining. Service is good but not what you would expect for the calibur advertised. Examples: some inexperienced waiters, no one folds yout napkin while you're in the washroom, asked for a napkin after my friend dropped hers and it never came, never... More

Never a disappointment. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Excellent service and impeccable food quality. If possible a great place to try during MTL a la table

Having heard this was one of the best restaurants in Montreal. We were looking forward to our dinner at Europea. We had made reservations months in advance. We were first seated near the staircase with the table shaking every time someone walked up or down. Our table was changed. All three of us ordered the table d'hôte. Every course was... More

Europea offers fantastic French cuisine experience both in terms of the originality and presentation of food. We tried the six course menu. It was a sensory overload with chef's palate cleansers in between the courses. Hailing from Maine, lobster capuccino with truffle puree was the best we ever had. For appetizers, we selected calamari with poached quail egg , and... More

This restaurant has been reviewed by many as one of the best tables in Canada. It deserves the title. Everything is of the highest quality and creativity. Of course, at this level, you don't expect a cheap meal. It is actually quite expensive. For a (very) special occasion.

The absolutely enthralling, theatrical experience of eating at Europea was stimulating on many levels. The food was delicious, the service was truly impeccable, and I was floored by the creativity and the fast-paced, haute, yet relaxed and playful atmosphere and menu. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Montréal.

And it was worth the wait. Everything about our dining experience was perfect. I don't want to ruin it for you. Just go and see for yourself. This is a top 3-5 montreal restaurant experience for sure. The service here is absolutely impeccable. The staff is well trained in high end service. The presentation and taste of the food is... Went for my 40th birthday meal and had the twelve course tasting menu. Fabulous food, amazing presentation and the service was impeccable. Lots of twists on dishes and attention to detail. Made to feel special on my special day. Allow enough time to enjoy the experience

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
