We went to this placs on our visit to Montreal. We stayed at Hyatt hotel and as we didn't want to go outside the building, we went to Baton Rouge. The decorations were nice and our waitress was kind abd polite. Now let's talk about food! The mushroom cream soup was fine, and the spinach dip was good, nothing special... More

Food was good a bit too noisy and crowded for our group, thinking maybe understaffed for the night was here as we waiting almost 20 minutes for first drinks. Service was better after crowd thinned out.

I've eaten at lots of Baton Rouges before, so I was excited when I saw one was close to our hotel. Boy, was I disappointed! Our drink order was forgotten. Our meat order came out without the side. The side came out separately because it needed to be re-heated. Bill took longer than it should have to come out. Overall... More

Very nice atmosphere, good location and excellent food. The Vegetarian Sandwich is outstanding. Priced right for what you get.

It was my 1st experience with Baton Rouge and I need to say that it met my expectations. Ribs were amazing so was the service. I will for sure come back to this restaurant whenever I come to Montreal.

Our group of four decided to have supper at Baton Rouge on St. Catherine's Street. We had a reservation and were seated on time. Our server was friendly and helpful considering the daily special (halibut) wasn't available after we had ordered it as well as the bottle of wine was out of stock that we had ordered. She compensated us... More

Our Montreal friends took us here for dinner while we were visiting them in Montreal saying that it is one of their favorite casual restaurants- yes, indeed , Delicious Tender Ribs in a casual atmosphere! We were all pleased with our dinners & the service. This was a Friday so we had reservations. There are certainly more offerings on the... More

This establishment was among the recommendations from the concierge at our hotel. Because it was an easy walk, we chose to dine here. We were extremely satisfied with the service and our dinner entrees!

Already knew Baton Rouge in Toronto since 2012. Wanted to get back the taste, definitely not up to the standard used to be. Order made, side dish did not came along, even if restaurant was not that busy. Salmon portion was like "nouvelle cuisine"... very small and overpriced. Staff friendly but impersonal.

We decided to have dinner here because the décor looked great, food not so much. There were 4 of us for supper (Oct 11) and 2 of us ordered the ribs and lobster tail combo. This was recommended by the server as a signature selection. When I received my meal, I sampled the garlic mashed potatos which had no taste... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
