Came with a family of 6 adults and 1 baby over the May long weekend. Restaurant was roughly 30% full when we went Sunday afternoon. We ordered two poutine and a calamari as it was meant to be just an afternoon snack before Dinner. After waited for 20+minutes, I politely asked the server to follow up on the orders. she... More

I got a hamburger and fries (frites.) The hamburger was a formed patty that looked like something from McDonalds or Burger King and it came on a chibatta bun. The fries had an off taste. I don't know if this was from the type of oil used to fry them in or if the oil itself was old.

Great burgers and fries. Choice of sauces/dips for your fries. Quick and reasonably priced. Was just a short walk from my hotel.

This was the first place I visited and ate at while in Montreal. The Poutine here is great and the staff are very friendly and quick at their job. I thought I would need the large plate but I couldn't finish it so much fries and gravy not to mention the Cheese curds and smoked meat on top ... mmm... More

I really liked the feel of this place. It was young and fun and nice that it was open late as we really wanted to try poutine in Montreal. The portions are huge which is great and there were very creative types of poutine offered. no matter what you like you'll find something here!

They have amazing portion sizes, I was terribly full after my meal with much left over. They also have amazing milkshakes which just adds to the comfort food aspect and the lovely diner feel. They do not shlep at all on the servings of bacon! which i personally will always commend a restaurant for. Definitely a recommended poutine spot for... More

So I wanted to try poutine and we were led to this place. I want to like poutine, I really do...but it's hard to improve on fries, they are already so good. I have discovered that I am NOT a fan of poutine. Fries with gravy and cheese curd-it didn't make the fries taste better, in my opinion. You can... More

This location was easily accessible via Metro/Underground City. We there for poutine, but they had an extensive menu which made eating with those not wanting poutine easy. We had the Montrealaise with smoked meat and the Frite Alors with peppers, onions and mushrooms. Both were very good. My only issue was that the radio station that was playing included unedited... Upon entering, we were greeted and seated quickly. Waitress was extremely friendly and helpful when asked for recommendations. Generous portions and a great variety of food to choose from. Location and interior decor is a little dated in my opinion; however, it was a place to grab a quick bite with my friends for a fair price. Will be returning... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
