We had dinner here on Sept 27. What a wonderful meal. The service was one of the best we have ever experienced. Our waiter was excellent, knows how to keep the customers happy, makes great suggestions, is attentive to your table at all times. The food was absolutely outstanding. We had the Veal Osso Buco Gremolata. Perfect, very tender with a... More

I was so excited to go to this establishment but unfortunately excitement was dashed upon seating. Honestly, our party felt like second class citizens when we did not order a bottle of wine . The food was very good but the service was so poor , didn't even ask if we wanted refills on our cocktails, food was forever coming.... More

I recently organized a corporate group of 27 people to have dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The service was fantastic - extremely attentive and polished. The food came out hot and delicious, a wonderful feat considering the amount of people in the group. The owner Piertro was available for any questions and to ensure the service was impeccable. All of... More

Dropped by at mid afternoon and spoke to one of the waiters. He spoke highly of the restaurant and it did not disappoint. Fabulous food and service. It has been open for 30 years but everything looked new. Nice redwood finishing and lighting. Waiters and the owner were great. A great experience.

Beautiful old Mansion style building. Fine Italian style food and wines to match. Our waiter Rafael was professional, friendly making us feel special. The food speaks for itself. Our group of 4 all enjoyed the experience.

Have been to this restaurant years ago but decided to eat there recently. Was a great restaurant years ago and is still excellent today. We were heading to a concert and had limited time. The waiter greeted us and ensured that we would be served quickly so that we could make the concert on time. We had an entree of... More

It was raining so hard that we arrived soaked to the skin. The restaurant was looking pretty empty and it is a big space, so we were wondering if it was not popular or was it the rain? It was around 8pm on a Tuesday. The food though turned out to be very good. We had Fried Calamari, Arugula and... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
