This place is located at the top of some stairs next to a massage lounge and we stumbled upon it while grazing in chinatown. It's a nice room with quite a few tables and some video games, it gets quite crowded in the evening. They mainly serve bubble tea but also cakes and snack food which I haven't tried. The... More

Best bubble tea in Montreal and amazing service. The menu is very elaborate and the staff takes the time to answer questions or give suggestions.

Girls weekend in Montreal and we decided we wanted some bubble tea at midnight. I'd read about this place and knew it had good reviews so we thought we'd try it out since we stayed at the Holiday Inn Centre-Ville which was a minute away. The place isn't all that fancy but the staff were great and helped with choosing... More

We came here for bubble tea. My daughter says it is THE place to go for the stuff. I tasted my daughters' tea. Don't know anything about the stuff, but it tasted pretty good. Hard to see the place from the street. Don't be deterred, just climb the stairs.

Really pleased with this little find! Once again, this was a Yelp find, and it was a winner. We were on the hunt for boba (or, bubble drinks, as they were called in Montreal), and neither of us had any real interest in taking a shot in the dark on something like this. Call me overly cautious, but I didn't... More

Located in Montreal's China Town, it is one of many places offering bubble tea. It is on the second level of a building opposite to a spa. The atmosphere is laid back with long booths to sit in. It’s nothing fancy, but casual enough to grab tea and chill. In my case it was just to grab tea and go.... More

Being foodies, my boyfriend and I travelled to Montreal to splurge on all the delicious things the beautiful city has to offer. While going around (pretty much) from restaurant to restaurant, we each shared things from each restaurant to get the most out of it. We had quite a bit of bubble tea during our stay, but the best one... More

Quite a selection in their menu. From tapioca cup, yogurt drinks, smoothies, fresh fruit juice or blends, iced coffee, non-tea drinks, milk tea, foamed tea to cakes, meals and side dishes. [desserts + lounge] = good place for the tweens, teens. Price is not that bad.

I just love the L2 lounge as for me, it has the best Bubble tea in Montreal! Also, for first timer, it is almost an attraction as the store is a bit hidden and you need to walk 3 floors of stairs, so it feels like a bit action movie\prohibition! Don't worry, it is not a sketchy place and as... More

I go there frequently and I am never disappointed. They have a very wide selection of drinks (Bubble teas, smoothies, tapioca drinks, iced coffee...) and food. Their poutine is excellent by the way. :D The only problem is that you have to have a lot of time ahead of you because service at the tables can take a very, very... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
