My friends and I enjoyed a delicious dinner and a flamenca show yesterday. This restaurant is a hidden gem. It was easy to get a table for 5 with only an hour's notice and we were seated right in front of the stage. We started with a bottle of wine and some while we waited for our last guest to... More

My friend and I happened upon this Spanish restaurant last year on a drizzly, cool night a short distance from our B&B on Sherbrooke. No one appeared to be eating and although that usually spells trouble, we took a chance. We were seated at the window overlooking St.Denis and were instantly charmed by the place and the friendly service we... More

Definitively a place to recommend for good food. The paella in the menu contains 1/2 lobster which is unusual at a very reasonable price. The portion is big and all fish is fresh and full of flavor! You can have a real and good expresso to finish your meal which is not the case in all restaurant in Montreal. The... More

We visited this restaurant with hopes of having a delicious paella (there is quite a variety on the menu). We ordered the paella valenciana, but got a paella that was clearly not outstanding. There wasn't much quality seafood in the dish, which overall was skimpy and not impressive. The overall flavoriing was bland. Clearly, the dish wasn't worth the price... More

We'd arrived in Montreal late and were staying in a small BnB on Sherbrooke near St, Denis. We'd just come from Vancouver where we'd eaten Asian food so often we were burned out on it and wanted something different. Although it was almost closing time on a Wednesday night, the waiter let us in and put no restrictions on what... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
