This is our regular Chinese restaurant that we go to. Food is always excellent and very fresh. It is worth waiting if there is a line up. The Cantonese chow mein is delicious. Service is fast.

Been going there for the last 31 years and the quality, variety and price has been the best in all of China town.

So three drunk humans can stumble in at 330am and eat perfectly servicable Cantonese food? So the salt and pepper pork chops can bring a man to tears? So the words "chinese broccoli" open magical doors to a garlicky realm of magic and garlic? "Is this restaurant appropriate for kids", Tripadvisor asks me. Only if your kids are drunk and... More

We went for dinner on Saturday night. The place had been recommended by our son. The food is tasty, well presented and inexpensive for the quality. It is located on Clark St in Chinatown. Its a little out of the way but well worth the trip. IF you appreciate good Chinese Food, then you have to try this restaurant.

I've been to different Chinese restaurants around the island of Montreal and this one is my favourite. Not fancy looking but one of the best holes in the wall :) It's very busy sometimes but totally worth waiting. They have probably the best General Tao and peanut butter dumplings in Montreal! It's difficult to find parking during the day but... More

Not fancy but the food is great . Have been eating for many years and its always very good. Some of my favourites are the Chop souy won ton soup and the lemon chicken. Have been reading some of the other reviews and i am quite surprised at the comments .

The food was good. I find Montreal to be really tough to find good Chinese. So far this is a really good option. 2 people. shared a noodle dish and a meat dish. It came to a little over $30. open late.

Hot and sour soup at par with other Cantonese restaurants, lots of tofu, some shrimp and pork. Our main dish, two lobsters, was a disaster. The lobster is covered in batter and deep fried. The result is shrivelled, dry lobster meat - a huge disappointment. The bird nest with seafood was bland, but edible. Service was silent and surly. In... More

...because I'm only here at 3AM with my friends after drinking all night. It's delicious, but -depending on your dish selection- you know as you're eating that you're making a big mistake. It's a little embarrassing, but I've only eaten here sober once, stuck to the salt & pepper shrimp and chicken fried rice. For those late nights add general... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
