You can have classic French cuisine here -- on a street filled with very good places to eat. I had duck confit that was delicious. The waiter was very helpful in explaining some of the starters and sides. Check out the menu online, then go to the provincial chain SAQ to pair a wine with what you're planning to eat.... More

We were 5 of us on a Saturday night. There was only one server who was also acting as the hostess and collecting the payments from clients. We waited an hour for our tepid soup to be served. She was plying us with bread to keep us busy until we kindly asked to get the soup at least. It took... More

My husband and I have been regulars at Le Paris, where we have enjoyed ourselves in the past and spent quite a bit on dinners. We are from Montreal. We visited the restaurant September 4th, between 8:30pm and 10:15pm – the restaurant was mostly empty, we hopeful to relax and enjoy our time and meal. Unfortunately, our female waitress’s comportment... More

We dined out in this restaurant on 3 July 2015 with a party of four upon a friend's recommendation. We ordered steak , canard and salmon tartar. The steak (sirloin) were the worst we have ever had in Montreal with undercooked darkish fries. Canard was so so. Tartar was average. They alll very overpriced. As to the service it was... More

June 26 2015 I bought Vouchers on Groupon which allow 2 people to sit and have dinner at Le Paris restaurant in Montreal. It’s a French restaurant where you can bring your own wine (BYOW). My friend and I have been going to the restaurant for the past 4 Tuesdays on the vouchers, having made reservations only three times. When... More

My bf and I accidentally wondered into this restaurant, as the one we wanted to go to Kazu was closed over march break, We both had the chef's special ( duck with sauce age and beans) and we did the table d'hôte which came with an entrée. I would rate the food quality for price as 1 star, the carrot... More

Traditional French cuisine, very nice staff and service, I had a wonderful time in this small and sweet restaurant. The area is not so nice though, but this is not the restaurant's fault... Go there to eat real French food.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
