This is a seafood restaurant and that is what we ate. We were happy with the menu choices and the execution of the dishes. The service was especially friendly. It's a storefront that has been nicely dressed up.

A really cute restaurant in Old Montreal. We were wondering along looking for some good options when we came across Maestro SVP. The vibe was good so we gave it a shot. The Salmon Tartare was terrific. Portion was a little small. The Louisiana Seafood...was fantastic. The Scallops were very good, but very small.More
We’ve visited some great restaurants for seafood and this restaurant did not disappoint. We had raw oysters to start and an amazing cooked seafood platter that we shared. We will definitely be back.
The service was good, great cocktails. We had mussels with blue cheese which was a big leap for me mixing such a strong cheese with seafood - they were wonderful Nice relaxed vibe.
First time dining at Maestro SVP. . I had the most delicious grilled salmon with veggies and a trio of creme brulles, each with different flavors (rhum, Baileys, Lavendar) EVERYthing was fabulous, including the service and atmosphere!
Très mauvais rapport qualité- prix. Food quality OK but could be much better. Service OK, Music a bit too loud and choice of menu OK
I’m very disappointed in the owner Ilene very rude and unprofessional and unfriendly. Food was cold and, very expensive. There are better restaurants for you, to go to when you are visiting In town. Don’t waste your time and money.More

Delicious seafood, at affordable prices, with attentive service. This is a small, very nice seafood restaurant. Loved it. The owner is actively involved and helpful. A great meal.
Nice Atmosphere right on Rue St. Laurent. Had the honour of the owner serving us! Delicious, fresh seafood. Beautiful presentation. Nice selection of wines. Loved the unique oyster dessert. Thank you for an amazing dining experience!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience!
I can't say if the oysters are fresh, or if the beer is cold or if the wine is good; they never offered us anything. Since we arrived, after minutes of waiting to find out if there was a table available or not, a lady...in a very bad way replied, "look for a table outside". I accepted the abuse because my wife really wanted to eat oysters. We sat down and for 20 minutes waited to be taken care of, and despite asking three times to be served, nothing happened. This is an exception in Montreal. Although in most of bars and restaurant have young students as servers, not professional waiters, the people are courteous and friendly; this lady really was nasty. The variety of oysters in the menu is impressive, which makes it even more necessary a good service, who serves you in an integral way. And if you add to that that the prices are not economic, even more so as not to lose the investment. Simply put, I recommend avoiding taking the risk with this site.More
We are sorry that your experience at Maestro S.V.P. didn’t quite match your expectations. We are committed to providing you high-quality service, and we will take the necessary measures so it won’t happen again.
We waited and waited for menus only to be told after half an hour that their menu was online only, great start. We should have left then. Long story short the food was way over priced for what it was and the service was appalling....I will never eat there again and I do not recommend this place at all.More
I’m sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, but I really appreciate you bringing this issue to my attention. Your comment has been discussed with our staff.
I had a seafood platter delivered to me last week. it had been so long since I had had a beautifully presented meal, let aloe a seafood platter. Everything was prepared with such care. The crabs legs were incredibly meaty, and the mussels were delicious....The oysters weren't my favourite, but overall, everything was great!More

I usually love coming to this place. The seafood is always very good. I was a little disappointed during my last visit. I had ordered a small seafood plateau of 66$ and we ended up with the big plateau of 150$. The waitress insisted that...I said the big one but I’m 110% sure I said small. She didn’t even seem worried about her mistake she just wanted to blame the customer. She also brought us a bottle of wine that we didn’t order so it shows me that she was mixed up in her orders! If it wasn’t for the bad service I got, I would recommend this place. I don’t think I’ll be going again. Sorry.More
First outing for a meal since Montreal opens up. The staff and layout made us feel very comfortable considering the news. Food and service was excellent. I was disappointed with some of the clients complaining about having to wear masks and having the tables socially...distanced. Hard to understand there are people who do not understand how difficult idt has been for the restaurant business. Maestro keep up with your excellent service!!More
This place is 100% a tourist trap with its oyster shells signed by celebrities in the front entrance. Here are a few of the critiques I have about this place: 1. The food, not only way over price ($6 an oyster?!?!) it also severely lacked...flavour and the presentation was subpar. I got the seafood linguine (the sauce was almost flavorless and needed salt). I was super underwhelmed. 2. OUR FOOD TOOK ALMOST 2 HOURS TO COME OUT. When we asked where our food was the server proceeded to say since our patio is open we have to serve a lot more customers for the food takes longer. This is beyond unacceptable. First off the restaurant indoors wasn't full. Secondly, if you are going to open a patio with I would guess 50 or more seats to serve and a festival going on in the streets you need to either ensure you have enough kitchen staff to be able to accomodate for the increase in customers OR stop seating customers! 3. The server got my order wrong which is fine because mistakes happen. HOWEVER the server was extremely rude and proceeded to go over to the computer check what she had punched in, come back over to me and tell me no you ordered this and this. I know what I ordered and I can tell you what you were trying to give me was not it! Also she never apologized which at this point I was already so hangry I didn't care anymore. I will say though that the drinks came out promptly but because our food took so long all the ice melted so they were watered down by the time our food got there. I recommend never coming into this place unless you want to pay for overpriced tasteless food and a long wait.More
