Moshe's is a extremely traditional and old school steak restaurant. Menu is therefore exactly what you'd expect and is mostly steak. Service was a little slow and cold at the beginning but warmed up through the meal (as we continued to order more wine). At the end, service overall was decent (but not amazing). Of course, the key question is...... More

It lived up to expectations. Amazing steaks cooked to perfection. Very old school feel to the place. Very classy. Professional and experienced wait staff. Not an inexpensive place. Makes for a special evening.

The best steak, ever. Period. Amazing! You have to go before you die. Expect a bill of 100$ per person with taxes, sides and wine, but you're gonna have the steak experience of your life.

It has been nearly 20 years since my wife and I were last at Moishe's. We returned recently and were more than pleasantly surprised. The host and wait staff were o accommodating.the chopped liver was better than I remembered. The rib steaks were outstanding. It is wonderful Togo back and the reality exceeds your remembrances.

The service is great and so is the food! My husband had the rib eye which was huge! My step son inhaled the sirloin and my son could only finish 2/3 of the lamb chops but it was a valiant effort! I had shrimp which were delicious... great city and amazing restaurant!

The restaurant is very nice, the service is great. The waiter was very attentive and even made suggestions. The price is decent. The steak is ok, maybe because I was told how amazing it was my expectations were too high. The sides are delicious specially the montebello baked potato, its the reason why i've been back there 3 times.

One of the best steaks I have ever consumed, i mean, mouth watering, every piece was fabulous, juicy. I enjoyed every single bite of that steak. Having said that, not much of a salad person, but the coleslaw? Extremely good, service was excellent, wine selection was fantastic. Enjoyed the experience. Looking forward to the Lamb next time.

I went with friends to Moishe's this past week. We had all been there years ago and none of us live in Montreal now. But we decided to take a drive and see if Moishe's was as good as we remembered. It was. The food was top notch and the service excellent. The prices have drifted up over the years,... More

We went for supper on a Wednesday evening. The place was not at all busy, so the wait staff was very attentive - no waiting for anything. We ordered the rib steaks, with a chopped liver entree, with sides of baked potatoes and monte carlo potatoes. The pickles, coleslaw and bread were all very good. The taste of the food... More

There's a reason Forbes Magazine named us one of the Top 10 Steakhouses in the world. And why Moishes has become a Montreal favorite that has endured over 70 years. We think it's the authentic taste of each one of the old world favorites on our menu.

If you're an old friend, welcome back. We're always delighted to see you. We couldn't have come this far without you. If you haven't yet, we warmly invite you to discover the taste for yourself, at our restaurant overlooking historic Saint-Laurent Boulevard (The Main.)

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
