The restaurant is theatrical almost. The waiters and supporting staff were all eccentric and animated. Made for memorable night. You feel encompassed by service and attention, while somehow being able to feel alone with your friends. the space is very accommodating. The drinks are excellent as well

The meal was delicious, staff was very friendly and service oriented. The price tag is a bit too high, but we enjoyed our meal very much.

Booked dinner after the hockey game. Managed to get seats even though no reservation and quite busy. Service is top notch, nice location. Found prices a little on the high end, most noticeable for cocktails. Paid close $100lb d=for the stone crab but they are seasonal and well worth the try!! Steak was very good and we enjoyed our meal... More

We were well taken care of by our waiters, both extremely attentive. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. I loved the place until I had to use the restrooms...the wall on the way to them had pornographic images of women. What poor taste for such a high end establishment. Made the place feel cheap. I wouldn't chose to go... More

We visited LQC on December 27th and were met by an unfriendly, rather condescending hostess. We were ushered to our table by a 2nd hostess who was slightly better mannered but not particularly welcoming. We ordered 2 steaks which were succulent albeit pricey. The waiters made honest efforts to be service-minded and attentive but came across as slightly obtrusive. After... More

We were 6 friends who had dinner at this restaurant. We enjoy fine cuisine, have no problem paying a steep bill, as it is a real treat for us. What we got at Queue de Cheval was just horrible. The service was not to the standard of a restaurant considered "high-end": the waiter could not remember who ordered what and... More

Thank you for writing to us and merry Xmas. I'm not sure of your date of this review , as we are closed the 24th and 25th, and this review was written on the 25th. Nevertheless, we take our service very seriously and very disciplined with several people serving on the floor. Your review is really not letting us now... More

This was my first time eating at Queue de Cheval and will definitely not be my last! The service was impeccable and the steak was absolutely mouth-watering. I highly recommend this place for a nice evening out.

The food was to die for. Basic steakhouse fare.. Lobster shrimp oysters potatoes some veggies and of course steak. The meat was charred on the outside and perfect medium rare on the inside. The steak spice was different than at other steakhouses its quite unique in flavour. My friend found the sashimi to be a little spicy (but shes weak).... More

Night started off pretty bad. Took about 15 mins for our group of 6 to be seated despite reservation. The staff was very apologetic however. Once seated everything turned around. One of the manager's came and explained the situation, shortly after brought the table a wine bottle. From there many suggestions were made by the waiters, and our table was... More

The space is beautiful. Old school prohibition-era-esque. Had drinks at the bar while waiting for the rest of my group. Bartender was really chill and easy to talk to. When my group arrived, a beautiful hostess brought us to our table and we were served right away by our waiter. We were treated like royalty! All of your whims are... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
